Motorists advised of upcoming work on Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana
Motorists are advised of lane restrictions on Las Vegas Boulevard and on Tropicana Avenue for work occurring as part of Clark County’s Las Vegas Boulevard Improvement Project. Most of the work associated with this project is occurring Sunday through Friday during evening through early morning hours. The work schedule and related impacts are as follows:
Las Vegas Boulevard Work Zones — 12 a.m. to 9 a.m.
—Through Friday, Oct. 11, one lane is open westbound on Harmon at Las Vegas Boulevard to the Cosmopolitan parking garage entrance for storm drain installation.
—Through Friday, Oct. 11, two lanes are open northbound and southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard between Reno and Harmon Avenue for utility adjustments and striping.
Tropicana Avenue Work Zones — 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
—Through Friday, Oct. 11, alternating two lanes will be open westbound and eastbound on Tropicana Avenue from Las Vegas Boulevard to Koval Lane for utility adjustments and striping.
This work is part of Phase E & F of a multi-phase project under way on Las Vegas Boulevard to upgrade infrastructure between Sahara Avenue and the Clark County-215 Beltway. Each phase includes water line replacement, new pavement, intersection modifications to improve pedestrian crossings, upgrades to traffic signals, LED street lighting systems with smart poles, and enhanced median landscaping. Commuters are advised that several agencies have construction projects under way in the resort corridor. Due to the fluid nature of construction activity and traffic conditions, work schedules can change on short notice. Motorists should check navigation apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps for the latest real-time information as they head out.
