I was invited to the grand opening of “This is Christmas” at the Venetian Resort, in the Palazzo Theater, and it was FANTASTIC!!!

The multiple sets kept changing scene after scene as we saw each exciting new musical number. The theme was Christmas yet every scene was different, there are so many ways of experiencing the holidays! They paid tribute to the military with Randal Keith   portraying a soldier as he sang the touching “Bring Me Home”.

Another of his eight roles in the show, Keith, as Santa Claus, was in almost every scene as a whimsical, happy and positive view of the holiday. In contrast, we saw him as Scrooge, dressed in a night gown, saying “I Hate Everybody”!

“This is Christmas” creates some original moments they featured Christmas celebrations around the world. We saw London’s famous landmark- Big Ben clock and the view of Parliament. There was even a touch of Hawaii by “American Idol”   Jasmine Trias bringing the way Christmas is celebrated South Pacific-style. Trias performed with such feeling, better than I have ever seen her before!

The producer packed all of their singing and dancing into a variety of themes, adding original songs along with the classic Christmas holiday selections. The Christmas carols were very special as we heard them in the spacious, tri-level design showroom.

With a STELLA cast of 10 headliners from the Broadway stage and several from “American Idol”, all in one BIG show. The talent is first class appearing in this spectacular
show simular to the ones in early Las Vegas.

What a cast, each known headliner for their own appearances and now all 10 in one BIG show- vocalists Award-winning Broadway star Randal Keith (“Le Miserables,” “Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular”, and many, many more.);
American Idol Laura Suzanne Wright (“Vegas! The Show” & “Fantasy” at Luxor); Broadway star/“American Idol” Ace Young;
Las Vegas headliner Jaclyn McSpadden (“Baz,” “Postmodern Jukebox”);
American Idol and Award-winning Broadway star, Lou Gazzara (“Vegas! The Show”); Broadway star and American Idol, singer, songwriter, actress “The Young & the Restless”, and films Diana De Garmo;
Award-winning dance duo dancer/choreographer/actor Alejandro Domingo and Sarah Le Clear;

Duo British singer and entertainer Ben Stone and singer Jasmine Trias (“American Idol”);  Eric Jordan Young of “Rock of Ages” and “Baz” is both director and performing in the show;

Backed by a live all-star band as they unwrap the magic! EACH of the 10 headliners enacted their own “Outstanding Performances”, this is a time to relax and be thrilled by a special happy show to welcome the New Year.
