I was honored to interview ACM, CMA and Grammy
award winning country music recording artist
Lee Greenwood on my television program.

Greenwood sings with such emotion straight from the heart bringing happiness to his fans.

A big event honoring Greenwood’s 40th Anniversary Tribute Concert-“40 Years of Hits” is scheduled at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama, on October 12, 2021. Tickets begin at ONLY $25 and there’s a special VIP “meet and great dinner” the night before the concert.

You will seldom have a chance to see Lee Greenwood singing some of his greatest hits along with 40 other stars paying tribute to him. That will be a show to remember! www.ticketmaster.com

During our interview, Lee Greenwood discussed his early years when he was discovered in Sparks, Nevada, at the Nugget Casino. He explained, “I spent a lot of time in Nevada, 20 years in Vegas, and been performing here since I was 17 years old.

When I came to Nashville in 1979 and joined MCA Records, I toured 200 days a year. For three years, I had no personal life, you just drove a fan base by playing every dog house, outhouse, and rat house. Since I won a few awards Male Vocalist three years, Song of the Year for “God Bless the USA”, then it’s just take it to the house. I’ve played for the military, the USO, award shows, events, and everywhere. It’s been a big ride!”

Greenwood can probably compose songs wherever he is and was inspired to write one of his patriotic hits “God Bless the USA while riding in the back of his tour bus, in 1983.

He commented, “I wrote many of my songs with MCA while touring.”

Greenwood won the Casino Entertainment Legend Award   which recognizes lifetime achievement in the casino entertainment industry during a virtual event in Las Vegas, in November, 2020.

Lee Greenwood, “I started in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Reno, Nevada. It was always Vegas to me. I love a 24 hour town, I’m a member of the Musician’s Union 359, and always enjoy playing Vegas. I’d like to play the Orleans, South Point Hotels, or a lounge would be more fun!”

He will release a 21 song CD in the spring which includes several favorites.  Greenwood’s scheduled tour in 2021, April to November includes some cruises.  www.leegreenwood.com
