Attorney General Barr: “This is a hearing. I thought I was supposed to be heard?

United States Attorney General, Honorable William P. Barr.

The Judicial Committee hearing last Tuesday “featuring” United States Attorney General William Barr can be categorized as the worst display of lack of respect and lack of integrity we have ever seen.
“WE ARE RECLAIMING OUR TIME…”
Anyone else with less control of their actions, anyone else with less class, anyone else with less control of their temper would have to walk out of that so-called judicial chamber without saying one single word.
“WE ARE RECLAIMING OUR TIME…”
The House Judiciary Committee’s Republicans, led by the panel’s ranking member, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, mounted a loyal defense of Barr and Trump and also drew attention to the findings of investigations that have embarrassed the Justice Department and the FBI.
“The message these actions send is clear: In this Justice Department, the president’s enemies will be punished. His friends will be protected — no matter the cost, no matter the cost to liberty, no matter the cost to justice,” said the House Judiciary Commission Chairman, Jerry Nadler.
Barr is a longtime political target of the panel’s majority Democrats who censured him last year during one of a number of bitter disputes over access to information and the House of Representatives’ powers of oversight.
“WE ARE RECLAIMING OUR TIME…”
Barr defended his independence vehemently, saying the president “has not attempted to interfere” in decisions related to criminal cases.
“Indeed, it is precisely because I feel complete freedom to do what I think is right that induced me to serve once again as attorney general,” he said.
At one time, Attorney General Barr asked for a five-minute recess and Chairman Nadler refused to give it to him. The Attorney General reminded Chairman Nadler that he had been there VOLUNTARILY all day long and did not even take a break for lunch, “but now I need to take a five-minute break,” he said, letting Nadler know in a very nice and professional manner that he needed to relieve himself.
“You are a real class act,” Barr sarcastically told Chairman Jerrold Nadler after the congressman denied his request for a five-minute break as the hearing neared its end.
With the help of his most faithful ally, Jim Jordan of Ohio, the Chairman finally was able to attend to his need. The House Judiciary Committee’s Republicans, led by the panel’s ranking member, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, mounted a loyal defense of Barr and Trump and also drew attention to the findings of investigations that have embarrassed the Justice Department and FBI.
We wonder if the hate of Chairman Nadler for Attorney General Barr is so intense as to not even allow Barr to take a bathroom break when he needs it.
Why are we insisting vehemently on “WE ARE RECLAIMING OUR TIME…” you may ask, and the answer is very clear and simple: every Democrat attacking the Attorney General did not like the way the answers were coming out of the accused, the Attorney General; they needed precise answers without explanations to be able to change the response as it pleased them.
Yes, the accuser, which is what the House Judiciary Committee seemed like while interrogating the Attorney General of the United States of America, offering no respect, exhibiting all the shameful behavior of the Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee, and this when the Attorney General took the time between protests from Democrats and commented all to himself because the panel of Democrats were not interested in hearing any explanation about what he had to say, but many of us heard him say this: “This is a hearing. I thought I was supposed to be heard.” But not one single soul responded to, or commented on, it.
Not one single Democrat alluded to the Attorney General’s comment—another way of showing disrespect to the position and the man regardless of their differing political beliefs.
They invited the Attorney General to go before the committee and they should have given him, as their guest, the respect that any guest deserves.
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal is the co-chair of a group of three socialists and a member of several other groups of her choice and her beliefs make us wonder when she has time to take care of all her business; and even more important, when does she ever have time to take care of her family, and when does she ever get a chance to spend some “private” time with her husband or her significant other? We believe that the Democrats should be ashamed of their actions, for showing such lack of respect toward those who do not agree with their communist beliefs.
How can they ask for freedom of any kind: of opinion, expression, speech, religion, peaceful assembly or freedom of the press, if they don’t allow others to have their own of anything?
