ITALIAN STREET FOOD MARKET
Eataly has created an exciting concept- La Cucina Del Mercato, which means Kitchen of the Market, the Italian Street Food Market!
Usually restaurants fulfill your dining pleasures and markets are the places to shop but you can do both in Eataly’s Kitchen of the Market. As they say, “Eat what you shop and shop what you eat.”
It’s exciting to watch them preparing and cooking the pasta, pizza, steaks, fish and all type of food in their traditional ways. Choose whatever you want and the food will either be prepared for you to eat there or take it home.
Travelers enjoy stopping at the taco and other food stands or carts in foreign countries and now we have Eataly’s “Italian Street Food” concept!
There is so much happening in this open market place-style restaurants and vendors with a wonderful variety of different businesses, all of the activities and everything in one gigantic place:
You will find prime-cuts sourced from sustainable farms, cheese tasting samples from more than 200 cheeses and 100 salami varieties, handcrafted pizza alla pala- crisp whole Roman-style pizza, sustainable-sourced seafood and fresh daily catch, house made pasta kneaded, rolled and shaped by hand, rotisserie prime rib panino, spit-roasted chicken and Italian sides.
It is rare for people to have so many choices of all these different Italian foods and wines in one 40,000 square feet location, but THERE IS MORE.
CLASSES, TASTINGS & EVENTS
Most of the members of Eataly feature food and wines from Italy but it’s not just dining out! Would you like to really know about choosing the right wines for your meal?
The Chef’s Table, Eataly’s Wine Store & Bottega Del Vino offer classes, tastings and events while the Gift Shop & Market offers a different slant on shopping by featuring Italian housewares, beauty products, souvenirs and gifts.
Piatti plates (means sharing): Choose of half or whole rotisserie chicken or shaved Black Angus beef from Creekstone farms.
And you might also like the healthy Rotisserie Chicken Piatti for a half or whole chicken, all natural, pasture raised chickens from Smartbird Farms.
Try one of the Il Fritto (means lightly fried) stops for fish and shellfish, Shitake mushrooms, and more.
I have discussed Eataly’s restaurants and Mozzarella Bars in my previous article and have added more information to show the unbelievable scope of what they have to offer.
You won’t be able to see everything in one visit!
