Alejandro Mayorkas turns his back on the Cubans

Cuban born Secretary of Homeland Security for the United States of America under the Democrat-Socialist administration of “Harris-Biden” has blasted the ultimatum to his fellow Cubans by telling them that if they come to the same country that opened its arms to his parents after the Castro regime robbed the family business sixty-one years ago, they will be sent back to the island that welcomed his ancestors when they ran out of their own country.
It may never be known if his decision to make such drastic pronouncements is because he is afraid to upset the Castro Crime Family — the same communist regime that may have confiscated his family properties and financial coffers and made them run out the same way his mother’s family ran out of Romania or if he is bowing to the American socialist Administration that now exists in the almost free United States of America.
While Alejandro Mayorkas turns his back on the Cubans who throw themselves in the sea looking for the freedom they assume does exist in this nation under the Harris-Biden Administration, he is faced with more than a million immigrants from Central America south of the border.
Mayorkas has not even been to the border to see the mess that is there since the first of the year; he may have been in Texas with his boss, Vice President Kamala Harris, but neither of them is getting any closer to the messy border than the Rio Grande Valley, but he is aware that those fellow immigrants are crossing the border by the thousands.
The Democrats claimed that President Donald Trump and the Republicans have separated children from their family but nothing is farther from the truth. The immigrants themselves are sending their minor children alone, begging the question who in their right mind allows their minor children to cross the border by themselves into a country they do not know with a language they do not speak and with nowhere to go.
Back in 1963 when the Cubans, with the help of Catholic Charities, sent their minor children to the United States, those children went to the homes of people who were waiting for them, took care of them until their parents were able to immigrate to freedom, running from the communist regime that had taken over the island; Cubans were running for freedom, not for financial gain.
It is hard to believe Alejandro Mayorkas’s words that he said last week: “Allow me to be clear—if you take to the sea, you will not come to the United States. Anyone from Cuba or Haiti trying to escape to the U.S. by boat will be intercepted by the U.S. Coast Guard and returned immediately to their homes. In addition, even if those seeking asylum manage to land an interview with U.S. immigration officials, they still will not be allowed into the country, no matter
the outcome of their initial screening. If individuals make, or establish, a well-founded fear of prosecution or torture, they are referred to third countries for resettlement. They will not enter the United States.”
He specifically names his own country of origin by name. “Anyone from Cuba trying to escape to the U.S. by boat will be intercepted by the U.S. Coast Guard and returned to their homes.” The United States of America did not tell his family such a thing when in 1960 they arrived in Miami, Florida as Cuban Refugees. Mayorkas want to send the Cubans back to their country if they are found in the sea, but we wonder what is the difference between a Cuban in the sea and Mariela Castro, the daughter of Raul Castro, coming to this great nation to buy properties in Miami and shopping in New York,
most likely with the blessing of the American government and the Department of Immigration and Naturalization.
Back in 1959 when the Cubans started running out of their country, running from the communist criminals, the United States opened the Opalocka Base in Florida to house all the Cubans arriving in Miami until they were checked out, making sure that they were healthy and have no communist connections; there was something like that in New York, at Ellis Island, “a historical site that opened in 1892 as an immigration station, a purpose it served for more than 60 years until it closed” because the country has the right to know who is who coming in and why. We believe in legal immigration— even if the government does not turn anyone back, everyone should be counted.
Editor’s Note: It is not a mistake, an error, or ignorance on our part when we refer to the Harris-Biden Administration. It is that we believe Vice President Kamala Harris is the one who wears the pants in this administration, which includes the Secretary of Homeland Security for the United States of America, Alejandro Mayorkas.
