I was thrilled to have a streaming interview with William Lee Golden, an 
original member of the Oak Ridge Boys, one of the longest running musical groups -starting in the 60’s.
The Oak Ridge Boys have won the hearts of the American people. Every time I hear their songs, it is reminiscent of a more peaceful, different time long ago.
We discussed their awards- winning 12 gold, 3 platinum, 1 double platinum album, double platinum single, and more than a dozen national number 1 singles and over 30 top ten hits!!
That’s not all, they also were distinguished
in others- Performed for 5 presidents, won 5 GRAMMYS, COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE, Country Pop Chart- “Elvira”, “Bobbie Sue”, “Dream On”, “Thank God for Kids”, “American Made”, “I Guess it Never Hurts to Hurt Sometimes”, “Fancy Free”, and “Gonna Take a lot of River”, and more.
When are the Oak Ridge Boys going to change their name- Boys, the originals were young when they began?I included their “Elvira” video airing during our streaming interview and you can see the people waiting in the showroom, so enthusiastic, and the fans went wild when the group entered. Updating to today, there’s also a song from their new album “Front Porch Singin’”
Their four-part harmony is so special, watching them you can see each of the four men are enjoying themselves.
Golden said, “The Oak Ridge Boys have been together 40 years.”
I asked, “Did you have your beard all that time?”
Golden answered, “I have been growing my beard for 41 years, “It don’t get longer, just whiter!”
In addition to William Lee Golden’s performances as a member of the famous Oak Ridge Boys, he also has a solo career touring with his sons’ band.
The Oak Ridge Boys are now beginning their tours to Tennessee, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Georgia, Texas, Utah, and more, but not Las Vegas although they do go to 
Laughton, Nevada, close if you want to drive there.
