Barry Manilow’s golden career has brought happiness to millions of fans over 50 years. He transports the audience into the past with some of the greatest love songs of all times.
I enjoyed the way Manilow told the story of his life beginning with his birth in Brooklyn and later throughout the years, continuing to highlight personal moments with his family and each step in his career. It was a show to remember and understand the greatness of Manilow and his music.
There are special electronic elements in the show, the band’s raised platform breaks into parts which move around separately providing interesting backdrops for the show. With a nine piece band and three back-up singers, there’s also the latest flashing lights, special effects, and Pizzazz crowning the show!
Manilow’s “The Hits Come Home” is a happy show with many favorites — “Can’t Smile without You,” “Looks like We Made It,” “I Made It through the Rain,” and so many more wonderful songs. His mega-hit “Copacabana” always brings the audience to their feet to move and dance to the music! “Copacabana” is usually his spectacular finale with a special small-stage prop lowered from the ceiling. After Manilow steps on the prop, he is carried up over the audience. This is a touch of early Las Vegas’ large production shows.
