Republicans value the Constitution and public safety for all Americans. The Clark County Republican Central Committee, which met this week, is no longer willing to stand with Sheriff Joe Lombardo, and censured him.
The Committee to Recall Lombardo, led by this reporter, addressed the body politic November 12th regarding Lombardo-sanctioned female vice investigator Gatus who was elevated and promoted by Lombardo after the
murder of two victims implicated in her vice investigation. The move allowed the vice detective who outed victims to a criminal gang consequently resulting in their murders. Lombardo transferred her laterally from vice to homicide, which gave her full access to the resulting homicide investigation she directly caused.
Yes, you read that correctly. The cop was promoted after two murders occurred in retaliation directly resultant of Gatus’s own police work for which she is compensated approximately $150,000 annually under Lombardo, heading up a $1,000,000,000+ budget. Tobiasson allegedly contends the murders were wrongfully committed and were intended for her and her daughter, and was quoted as such by Doug Poppa of the Baltimore Post Examiner. The real story is she believes the murders “were a warning.”
The case involved Judge Melanie Tobiasson’s daughter, approached by traffickers who attempted to lure her into prostitution after a local trafficking ring involved with drugs and prostitution approached the teen. Tobiasson discovered this ‘sex for drugs’ scheme, then responsibly intervened to shield her daughter, and the following was
reported in the Baltimore Post Examiner and The Las Vegas Tribune: Tobiasson in a May 2018 on-the-record interview said that starting in 2015 she was providing information to LVMPD Vice Detectives on a confidential basis, about after-hours unlicensed clubs that were fronts for prostitution that were frequented by under-age females and off-duty LVMPD police officers.
Tobiasson said she also told Vice about long-time Las Vegas pimp Shane Valentine and his efforts to recruit her then 16-year-old daughter into sex-trafficking. Tobiasson said Gatus outed her at 4:30 p.m. on October 25, 2016, as the confidential police source to another LVMPD officer and his daughter, an alleged prostitute.
Tobiasson said she was informed by Vice Detective Van Cleef that Gatus had just outed her and she told Van Cleef that Gatus intentionally did it, which put her own and her daughter’s life in jeopardy.
Tobiasson said after that interview, the cop’s daughter, an alleged prostitute, tweeted that she was interviewed by Vice. Then on October 26, 2016 at 12:30 a.m. the murders of (underage Sydney) Land and Kauffman occurred. Tobiasson claimed those murders happened as a direct result of her and her daughter being outed about eight hours earlier. The judge said Land and Kauffman were not the intended targets, but she and her daughter who were meant to be killed. She never explained why she thought that.
Kauffman was shot in the head — execution-style, while Sydney Land fought for her life prior to being fatally shot in the head. She didn’t die quickly as evidenced by the crime scene photographs that the police released to Crime Watch Daily last year.
Tobiasson allegedly publicly stated, according to Poppa, the cops meant for her and her daughter to be murdered, instead Land and Kauffman were murdered. Tobbiasson has stated she believes it was a warning for her.
In a gross miscarriage of justice, the Judge now faces punitive action next month by the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline, being further victimized. We’ll remind the public closer to the hearing to show support for Tobiasson.
The Commission operates at the behest of Governor Sisolak, a close friend and ally of Lombardo. Prostitution homicide victim Sydney was shot in the face. Her mother bore witness to this on TV with the rest of Las Vegas in 2018.
Sydney’s mother Connie Land had this to say about the incident: “I am filled with outrage and disgust time and again by the LVMPD!
This new information is not a coincidence. Not only does it show blatant incompetence, but a calculated cover-up involving corruption and misconduct executed by the highest levels of the LVMPD.
“Sheriff Lombardo and the unscrupulous in the LVMPD, you have stripped my daughter and Nehemiah of receiving the justice they rightly deserve. Sydney was shot point blank in the face and did not die quickly. You disrespected my daughter and my family by exploiting the crime scene photographs of her body and blood all over national
television. Only one thing in an endless list of injustices throughout the entire case. You didn’t even have the common courtesy to tell us you were airing them. I found out by people who saw them on television.
“Sheriff Lombardo and the dishonorable in the LVMPD, you have cheated me and my family of my grieving or mourning for the loss of Sydney.”
Consensual paid sex in Sin City is a thriving business taking place in all the hotels. This author supported Dennis Hof in his bid for AD36 in 2018, the owner of legal brothels for licensed sex workers, and served as a policy advisor to Hof throughout his campaign.
This author has zero tolerance for the trafficking of underage boys and girls for any reason. The issue here is the trafficking of our youth, as well as the violence perpetrated upon prostitutes generally, which intersects too often. With staggering clarity, this entire debacle shines a fresnel lens on Sisolak, Lombardo, and the criminal malfeasance of the governmental enterprise violating public trust masquerading as public safety.
The weekend prior to this censuring, the Sheriff dodged a public forum November 9th town hall at the Built In America Show. He never responded to the invitation by the Committee to Recall Lombardo, firstly. About an hour prior to the scheduled town hall, a woman approached the event entrance and created what City of Las Vegas
Marshalls labeled “a credible threat,” which shut down the rally and music event early just prior to the town hall. Coincidence?
Denise Mraz, a member of the Committee, even reached out to Bob Irwin of Fired Up with Bob Irwin” on YouTube and KSHP 1400 AM radio Sunday show. She invited Irwin, a Director of Keystone Corporation, to arrange the town hall originally scheduled for November 14, 2019 and suggested Irwin moderate it. Irwin was encouraged as a good friend to
Lombardo for a town hall forum either on his show, or for the November 14th town hall. Bob Irwin assured this reporter he was a close ally of Lombardo, having his personal cell phone number, and “fully supports Lombardo” and would be advising him to “reject the town hall.”
In another link to KeyStone Corp, current Executive Director Helene Denney denied Denise Mraz, a proven staunch Trump supporter and Trey Gowdy fan, attendance to the recent Trey Gowdy event, even as a fully
paid non-reporter guest. A full list of the current Directors of Keystone Corporation can be found on their website.
Friend to Keystone Cop Lombardo has earned the moniker #CahonesImpotento.
The Clark County Republican Party has censured Lombardo by a virtually unanimous vote of the body politic, called by Eddie Hamilton candidate for CD1; with 180 members present, only two dissented. The move is a bold and warranted step to move the Reid politico Sheriff into recall.
The chronic alleged gross mismanagement and malfeasance adds to the growing list of grievances including Lombardo’s move to make Clark County a sanctuary and what the department employs as strategic corruption are all described at www.JoeGottaGo.com. The sheriff’s office is a non-partisan office; he was elected as a Republican and
supported fully by the party in 2014 and 2018. Censuring as a form of public reprimand and strong disapproval is the most forceful statement a body politic can make, short of a recall.
The Committee is collecting emails for notification of the recall, which is expected to launch in early 2020. Residents who wish to participate in the pending 2020 petition, or volunteer, are encouraged to send a private email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
