I was invited to review Kate Steele as Lady Gaga and Carmen Romano as Tony Bennett starring at the Italian American Club. Two tributes in one show!
While Kate Steele and Carmen Romano sing together, just think of Lady Gaga dating Tony Bennett. Their Tony Bennett tribute is romantic and amusing at the same time as Kate adds her own brand of comedy to the show. Kate and Carmen are a perfect singing duo, their duets bring Tony Bennett’s heartwarming songs weaved with each of their own interpretations.
Carmen’s multi-talented Tribute to Tony Bennett 
brings him a more romantic part singing Tony’s unforgettable songs, Carmen hits the high notes and has a chance to show off his vocals.
The audience really enjoyed them singing Tony Bennett’s “Cheek to Cheek”, “It Don’t Mean a thing if it ain’t got that Swing”, “The Best is yet to come”, “If I Ruled the World”, “The Shadow of Your Smile”, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco”, and “I Don’t Dance, Don’t Ask Me”.
With Lady Gaga’s recent Academy Awards appearance, Kate’s segment of the show was more dramatic. She provided a serious Lady Gaga even to playing the piano while singing.
I recently saw Carmen Romano in an entirely different role as John Belushi in the “BLUZMEN”. Carmen developed his own special wilder, free-flowing Belushi.
Kate Steele and Carmen Romano are scheduled to appear in the Grandview Lounge, at the South Point Hotel on May 13, 6 pm.
