Celebrating the best of all of the motion picture categories is always exciting every year at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in Hollywood, Las Vegas’ and other affiliated locations. We have the chance to enjoy the ceremony, the films, the songs and all of the festivities for the 91st Oscar awards, quite a long time-honored tradition in supporting Variety- the Children’s Charity of Southern Nevada.
I interviewed Retired (Monte Carlo, 2010) Master Magician 
Lance Burton who has long been a supporter of Variety- the Children’s Charity of Southern Nevada. Lance returned to the stage about a year ago in Des Moines, Iowa (March), in Louisville, Kentucky, and (September) in Albuquerque.
Lance appeared in Las Vegas stage in Lance and Friends (November 23 and 24, 2018), at the Orleans Showroom, joined by some of the finest talent- Magician Fielding West, and other entertainers. This year (March, 2019) appearing at the Wild Horse Pass Casino, in Phoenix Arizona, for Variety;
Did Lance say he was retired? His schedule seems quite full and the proceeds from the shows going to the Variety Children’s Charity of Southern Nevada. Now Lance, also serves as the grand marshal of this year’s opportunity Village Santa Run on December 1.
In Lance Burton’s 30-year career, he performed more than 15,000 shows for over 5,000,000 people.

Walking the red carpet with Lance Burton, the beautiful Gabriella Versace, M.C and singing star of “SEXXY” (Westgate), looked glamorous as usual. Gabriella recently created and owns a Showgirl Cupcakes business. Every cupcake is made by her with love! SHOWGIRL CUPCAKES, ALWAYS THE STAR OF THE SHOW! That is her mantra!

An important aspect of the Academy Awards, one of the events responsible for raising money for Variety- the Children’s Charity of Southern Nevada They have been in Las Vegas for over 60 years helping children with special needs. Las Vegas Variety was first started by most of the casino owners in the 1950’s who build three schools.
