Listening to Michael Cohen calling president Trump a ‘racist’ and a ‘con man’ in his prepared testimony, after working for Donald Trump for more than ten years, reminds me a scene from my past that I cannot forget.
A long time ago I was walking the hallways of a very popular property in Las Vegas with the owner of one of the most popular and worldwide famous hotel and casinos and the president of the property joined us to hear his boss call him all kind of names, from stupid SOB to a useless a-hole good-for-nothing and a bunch of other adjectives all within hearing range of the VIP desk, the bell desk and the front desk.
The owner took a break from the insults to smile and shake hands with one of the place’s most wealthy clients and I took the opportunity to ask the president of the property how he can take all those insults so calmly and how he can face all those employees under his command. He looked at me and said: “How does two million a year sound to you?
If I cannot live with half a mill a year for as long as this job lasts, saving a million and a half each year, something is wrong with me.”
The difference between that president walking alongside of his boss on a property he was managing better than very well and that lowlife
owner talking about the president of the United States is that one was not greedy at all, he was pleased by saving a million and a half a
year and the other one was trying to affect the one who was holding the leash on him.
He wants this, he wants that, he was making deals on the side, he wants a book deal, a deal with the same people the man with the money
may have been dealing with. This Michael Cohen wanted to outsource his boss, but besides a law degree on the wall in his office (did he even
have an office?) he has nothing else.
Not even people in the old days that were lucky enough that the Godfather gave them their own crew and gave them his blessing for them
to have their own “family” became as greeted as this Michael Cohen.
Traitors and double-crosser will always exist; that is part of life, but most people that betray and double-cross others always have an
excuse for their actions.
The appearance of Michael Cohen in Congress is one of the most shameful and despicable moments of our days when the US Congress
facilitates the way for one piece of garbage to sit in front of a mic to destroy the reputation of the president of the United States of America.
As a person that was not born in this great nation, as a person that after six decades as a resident of this country and one who still speaks with an accent, I can tell you that the opinion in and out of this country about what happened in Congress last week is a disgrace, an embarrassment, and all-around shameful behavior. To see so many people that are supposed to be working for the betterment of the
country, people that are supposed to be working to protect and to serve the American people, using the time, the place and their
position to discredit the president, who, like him or not, is the duly elected choice of the people and should be respected as such, is
beyond shameful.
Democrats have to realize that people are no longer naive, uninformed, or just don’t care; people are more involved than what Democrats want the people to be and that is why they are doing all they can to make the president look bad and look insensitive.
They finished with Russia and went on to Michael Cohen; and when they finished with Cohen, they started with the president’s family, and
later it will be something else right up until the 2020 election because they need to be making noise; right or wrong, they need the noise because that is what they think will take them to 2020 and the election they think they are going to win.
If Republicans would have done to the Obama administration what the communists are doing to the Trump administration, the Republicans
would have been accused of being racist even if it was only half racist, because Obama’s mother was white and that makes him half and
half. He only looks at the color of his skin as a convenient political benefit.
I never saw anyone ignore the mother’s side of the family as much as the communist-Americans trying to ignore the white side of the president, including the president himself, who I have never heard speaking of his mother.
