Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi should take responsibility for police officer’s death

By Las Vegas Tribune Staff
It may not be a surprise to anyone that an illegal immigrant was arrested for the shooting death of a police officer in Newman, a small California town. It is not the first time and most likely will not be the last time — unless the wall is built.
The suspect, arrested in another California city, was identified as an immigrant that has entered the United States illegally and was a known gang member.
Kern County sheriff’s deputies, FBI agents, Homeland Security, and other law enforcement officials arrested Gustavo Perez Arriaga in a home in Bakersfield, California, about 280 miles southeast of Newman, where Cpl. Ronil Singh was shot.
Two other men, Adrian Virgen, 25, and Erik Razo Quiroz, 27, were arrested on Thursday. Authorities say they were trying to help Perez Arriaga escape to Mexico after Singh was shot and killed.
“We have them in custody, asked them for their cooperation and they lied to us,” Christianson said.
Three other people from the Bakersfield house were charged with aiding and abetting, according to Kern County Sheriff’s Office. They were 59-year-old Bernabe Madrigal Castaneda, 36-year-old Erasmo Villegas, and 57-year-old Maria Luisa Moreno, all of Bakersfield. Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer and Democrat Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi
has been fighting President Donald Trump by opposing the border wall that can save many lives, including that of police officers.
A California sheriff railed against sanctuary laws after the arrest of a suspected cop killer. Sheriff Adam Christianson said officer Ronil Singh, a man who immigrated to the U.S. legally, might still be alive if not for “political interference.”
Democrats were in favor of protecting the U.S. Borders a few years back, but now just to oppose President Trump they want to defend and protect those who enter the country illegally or have been living in the country without documents.
“The American people are fundamentally pro-legal immigration and anti-illegal immigration,” Schumer said during the 2009 Georgetown Law talk. “We will only pass comprehensive reform when we recognize this fundamental concept.” Schumer then listed what he described as seven fundamental elements to a successful, bipartisan immigration bill to be sent to Congress.
“First, illegal immigration is wrong,” said Schumer. “And a primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration.”
Schumer’s words gave the impression that he was repeating President Trump’s own words, but he would not agree with the president under any
circumstances and has created the government shutdown with his and fellow Democrat Nancy Pelosi’s refusal to finance and support the
border wall.
A now historic 1993 speech of Nevada retired Democrat Senator Harry Reid at the U.S. Senate demonstrates the sheer hypocrisy of the left. Reid discussed the problems associated with and suggested that the U.S. was crazy to provide the children of illegal immigrants born in the country with citizenship.
“If making it easy to be an illegal alien isn’t easy enough, how about offering a reward for being an illegal immigrant?” he asked.
“No sane country would do that, right? Guess again. “If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with citizenship and guarantee full access to all public and social services this country provides,” Reid said. “That’s a lot of services.”
But now the Democrats have changed their tune because they have to go against President Trump — not against the Republicans, but against President Donald Trump.
That type of irresponsible behavior is part of the problem the country faces nowadays and that is why a decent honorable legal immigrant working as a law enforcement agent has lost his life in the hands of a known illegal immigrant gang member.
