Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice…

Las Vegas Tribune Editorial
Last week’s announcement of the government shutdown was almost like a New Year’s countdown celebration with many main television stations keeping track of the “shutdown countdown” with a clock counting the hours left to the shutdown.
We were almost like ten, nine, eight… and so on… happy New Year!!! But instead, it was seen on the television screen as five, four, three… government is now shut down!!! And the blame game began.
Democrats, of course, blame President Donald Trump for it; the Republicans blame the Democrats when in reality they should copycat the Democrats and put a name on those Democrats that are most blameworthy: Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.
The Democrats are so busy making President Trump out to be guilty of everything that happens in the country that they don’t realize how stupid they look and act, displaying an open view of the disrespect they are offering the nation. Trump does this, the Trump Government shows that; the Trump administration works on such and such, Trump’s White House says this, all the while ignoring the fact that President Trump cannot be everywhere all the time and most of the time it is the Department of “This”… the Director of “That”… or the Board of “The Other Thing”… that has nothing to do with the White House and/or the President of the United States of America.
In this case, both parties are guilty of insulting the intelligence of the citizens of this nation who are the main ones that are going to suffer the consequences of the government shutdown.
Those government employees in the offices that are closed down may not be getting paid while the office is closed, but whenever they return to work there will be a hefty check waiting for them; almost like an
extra paid vacation time.
Trump has said he’d be “proud” to shut down the government in a fight over the wall but now blames Democrats for refusing to vote for a House-passed bill that includes the $5.7 billion he wants for the
wall.
Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York and Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California, the Democratic leaders of Congress, blame Trump for the stalemate and for “plunging the country into chaos.” They pointed to problems beyond the shutdown, including heavy losses on Wall Street and Trump’s decision to fire his defense secretary.
However, we believe we have the solution to this problem; get a list of those who are against the wall, those who believe we should be the only country in the world with an open border facilitating the
entrance to everyone — good people and bad people; honest people and not so honest ones.
Then assign a number of those walking into our open border to every one of those who agrees with the open borders, according to the size of their home — two bedrooms, two people; three bedrooms, six people (three bunk beds to a room).
People like the Obamas with an eight-bedroom home can accommodate more people, and people like our forcibly retired County Commissioner Chris G. can turn her late husband’s office by the pool into living quarters to sleep at least ten to fifteen immigrants; and our socialist drug brain-damaged county commissioner, Tick Segerblom, who takes her place on the board may have an even bigger home and can accommodate other similar groups, and his downtown law office, second floor, could bed down another twenty or thirty immigrants.
Perhaps the Nevada Governor’s mansion could accommodate even one hundred immigrants, and now that he got married and his wealthy gaming commissioner wife most likely will move into the Carson City
Governor’s mansion, she could give up her residence to another group of immigrants.
The new Attorney General for the Greatest State of Nevada, Aaron Ford, could also pitch in and set up a dormitory for a few more of the immigrants that are so desperate to get into the United States.
Democrats-Liberal-Communists are so generous that we are positively sure that they would not hesitate to work out a plan to accommodate and buy food and toiletries for those immigrants that are so necessary to the United States because they are so aware of how much they can help our economy that they are able and willing to invest in their future in this wonderful, generous Democrats-socialist nation they want to build.
