I don’t know who wrote this, but I have had this clipping for a long, long time: “The meaning of being a mother is virtually endless. A mother is a protector, disciplinarian, and friend. A mother is a selfless, loving human who must sacrifice many of their wants and needs for the wants and needs of their children. A mother works hard to make sure their child is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to make it as a competent human being. Being a mother is perhaps the hardest, most rewarding job a woman will ever experience.”
I personally know a woman who in my opinion is the perfect mother. She works day in and day out for her only son. Even though her son is now an adult, this woman is totally dedicated to his needs, considering the fact that her son’s health is not the best and his illness is of deep concern. She is also dedicated to that son’s daughter and the
little brother of her granddaughter, who is not her biological grandson — but everything she does is for the profound love of her son. I admire her for being an incredible mother.
On the other hand, I have just learned of a woman who has done the most despicable thing not only as a mother but as a woman wronging another woman, who happens to be her own daughter.
Yes, this woman has gone so far as to betray her own daughter, stabbing her in the heart especially during this Christmas season.
As the story goes, the woman’s daughter is now a mother herself. Not the most responsible person on earth, but she is definitely a good mother who cares for her young son.
The young woman was never married to the man who fathered her son. He was never in the little boy’s life since the day he was born. A very irresponsible young man, one of those who believes children eat only once every six months. This little boy is not his only child; he is the father of another child, who apparently also eats only every six months.
All of a sudden, he remembered that he wants to be a father and filed documents with the courts to take that boy away from the mother.
The mother of the woman in question has joined forces with the irresponsible father by writing a letter to the court and to the judge speaking very lowly of her own daughter with the intention for the
court to take away the custody of the little boy.
I don’t know if this woman is naïve, or simply stupid. She probably believes that by negotiating with the father of the child, who is already clearly a very irresponsible young man, the court will give
custody to her and since the young man is not apt to pay child support, she then will be able to receive a support check from the Welfare Department.
If the judge analyses the letter the way everybody else interpreted it, he will recognize that the woman is plainly vindictive, and if there is any truth to the faults she delineated to the judge about her
daughter, one can, unfortunately, see that the daughter’s behavior is just the result of the education she received from her own mother.
So much for being a MOTHER.
