This should be called a Potpourri

First of all, Happy Birthday to my dearest friend Don Snook who will celebrate his birthday tomorrow. Cheers, my friend, to another year together. We already lost the count of our years together, but the love is stronger than ever. I don’t think I need to tell you how much we love you. Happy Birthday little brother!

Now let’s talk about a local attorney who claims to be the only attorney in Las Vegas handling International Law. A case of an older Japanese man was referred to him for a case involving a $100 million case in Japan. The supposed expert attorney received the prospective client and sat down on his chair and put both his legs on top of his desk, without any respect for the client. The client returned to the person who referred him to the attorney (who was yours truly) and said: “This man has absolutely no respect for elders.”
That’s when I realized that you can’t believe what attorneys claim they can do. Any attorney who claims to be an International Law attorney needs to know how to treat clients from different cultures. A Japanese client, especially if he or she is older, needs to be treated with the highest respect. It doesn’t matter if the supposed attorney considers himself “king” just because he previously served with the United States Marine Corps.

The migrant caravan of Central Americans, with now more than 10,000 people trying to cross the border of the United States, is getting many of us in a panic, but California Democratic Senator Kamala Harris considers that we are tolerant and welcoming and we should let them all in.
I remember the “good times” when President Obama claimed that we should spread the wealth, but he never spread his wealth with anyone.
I now wonder if Kamala Harris is willing to let all 10,000 people into the United States and is willing to welcome (since she is such a welcoming person) many of them into her own home, instead of imposing all those people, many who are criminals, on all of us taxpayers.
Some of the people in the caravan interviewed by news reporters admitted that there are in fact criminal elements in the group walking toward the United States. Doesn’t Ms. Harris realize that we have enough crime in this country? Why would she want us to accept more criminals into our neighborhoods?
And this is a woman who, among many others, is hoping to make a run in 2020 for the White House!

The homeless situation in downtown Las Vegas is getting worse by the day, but not only because of their arrogant attitude when they are asked to leave places of business when caught urinating and defecating against the walls of offices and on private patios of such businesses.
Those people are going to cause a lifelong trauma to someone conducting and minding their own business when they intend to take possession of other’s properties.
Last Sunday I witnessed a man sleeping under a big truck with his head close to the front tires, and he had all the accouterments for his outdoor bedroom — a mattress, pillow, and blanket; he had his shoes removed when the owner of the truck started to drive out. For some miraculous reason, thank the Good Lord, the man decided to look under the truck and found “Sleeping Beauty.”
Just imagine if the man had driven the truck over the man’s body. It not only would have killed Sleeping Beauty, but would have destroyed that man’s life forever for killing another human being.
“Sleeping Beauty” got very angry for being awakened. He didn’t get out from under the truck until he put his shoes on and collected all his dirty possessions.
Government officials are talking big about the beautification of downtown, but I really don’t know what part of downtown they are talking about (it is probably around the area where they live) because the rest of downtown is a disgrace to the city.
We are not only suffering from the homelessness situation but we now also have to deal with the inconvenience of graffiti when we walk into our own office building and instead of conducting business, we need to start the day painting the outside walls to cover the actions of useless gang members.
If government officials in the downtown area don’t want to deal with the homeless situation and want to continue pampering them, I believe it is time for them to start dealing with the gangs’ situation before everyone starts moving out and our downtown becomes a ghost town.
