Today most Americans have lost trust in the journalistic endeavors put
forth by the so-called print and television news media.
Television news reporting is like an echo as you flip from ABC to NBC
to CBS… no question about it, as you flip from one channel to the
other you’ll find the same story being told by a different reporter.
However, if you happen to tune in on the Fox Channel, you’ll find a
horse of a different color! All of the headliners on Fox agree that
‘they’ do not put forth stories that are honed by the powers-that-be
in Washington or elsewhere. No, not for a minute. Fox reports facts…
cold hard facts… they call it like they see it, as reporters like
Shaun Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and Megyn Kelly — to name a few— earn
millions of dollars per year putting forth their versions of hard news
as they see it.
The fact that politics happens to be one of the most harmful things on
the face of our earth really rears its ugly head through the yellow
news put forth by the networks.
As a result of this yellow news reporting put forth by the network
news stations, the general public considers that much of what is
reported on a daily basis is either an out-and-out lie or a partial
truth. Unfortunately, as we know, a half-truth is a whole lie!
Amazingly, many stories that are headline stories on one day, seem to
vanish like they were never reported the following day. Once the media
has milked the story for all it’s worth, it just fades away.
As an example, the missing Malaysia Airline story: Day one:
Extra-Extra! Read all about it in your newspaper and hear all about it
on your network news stations. An Airliner with over 200 people aboard
The following days, Network News reports contained a variety of
different theories concerning the whereabouts of the airliner,
including after a few days of reporting that it may be somewhere at
the bottom of the Indian ocean. Then suddenly the story disappeared
from the news like the famous escape artist Harry HoudiniÖ. there was
no resolution to the story, but by this time, the media had milked the
story dry with one theory after the other being reported by one person
after the other, until finally they simply dropped the story like it
never really happened… and, once again, the general public was left
Of course, the theory in the media is that in a few days, the story
will become nothing more than yesterday’s news!
With today’s technology — including a sky filled with drones– one
wonders just how a commercial airliner could disappear from the sky
with no trace of its whereabouts.
Of course at the onset of the story, the media had a field day by
putting forth one theory after the other, by one in-the-know expert
after the other, theorizing where they thought the airliner was. These
reports also included theories such as the pilot and co-pilot were
involved in some kind of bizzare conspiracy, etc. etc.
The media recently reported the story about a U.S. Marine being held
in jail in Mexico. These reports have made it clear that the Marine is
innocent of any wrongdoing whatsoever. That was the extent of the
Then Fox put forth the story that our President, who puts his nose
into everything, including commenting on the possible change of the
nickname of the Washington Redskins, hasn’t seen fit to lift a finger,
or make a phone call to the President of Mexico, in an attempt to help
This story too is slowly fading out of the news… All I can say is,
God help our wonderful marine.
