The reality is that Donald Trump became the favorite candidate of the long list of Republican candidates because he was speaking the people’s language; he was telling the American people what the American people have been saying in private, have been wanting in secret, and have been hoping all along when it comes to actually seeing the changes that a country crying out for change needs to see.
Donald Trump was speaking the language of the average citizen without the typical politically hypocritical language and the people felt connected to him, even if some do not agree one hundred percent with his tone and meaning of speech.
However, last week Donald Trump surprised everyone — Democrats and Republicans alike, as well as those who agree with his policies and those who do not agree with his philosophy and ideas — when he became a real presidential speaker.
He touched all the important issues and made his position of changing the country from what it is to a better and brighter country, making America Great Again.
Last Thursday, August 18, 201, in North Carolina, Donald Trump reminded the American people: “Fourteen months ago, I declared my campaign for the Presidency on the promise to give our government back to the people. Every day since then, I’ve worked to repay the loyalty and the faith that you have put in me.”
“I refuse to let another generation of American children be excluded from the American Dream. Our whole country loses when young people of limitless potential are denied the opportunity to contribute their talents because we failed to provide them the opportunities they deserved. Let our children be dreamers too”; when was the last time we
have heard a political candidate speaking in such a tone and speaking so clearly?
“I have no patience for injustice, no tolerance for government incompetence, no sympathy for leaders who fail their citizens. That’s why I am running: to end the decades of bitter failure and to offer the American people a new future of honesty, justice and opportunity.
A future where America, and its people, always — and I mean always — come first. Aren’t you tired of a system that gets rich at your expense?” Isn’t that what the American people have been expecting to hear from any political candidates?
For years we at the Las Vegas Tribune have been saying what Donald Trump has asked the people who were listening to him in North Carolina “Aren’t you tired of arrogant leaders who look down on you, instead of serving and protecting you?” Isn’t that what the American people have been waiting to hear from anyone running for office? We have been
saying that for the last eighteen years from the pages of this newspaper, which has been founded to serve and protect the people of Nevada.
We have been accused of being anti-government and anti-police radicals and have been ignored by those who do not want you, our readers, you, the American people, to read the truth that we print and for eighteen years have published.
Campaign managers and political peons have erroneously stated that no one reads the Las Vegas Tribune; one campaign manager with a little dubious reputation has gone to the extreme of telling her clients that we are the newspaper that no one reads, but they all know what appears in our pages every week, and we wonder how.
One thing we cannot be accused of is to change our opinion or our position to fit our convenience; we have faithfully supported those same candidates who use the same campaign manager who tries to black ball this newspaper, but we do not change our opinion of those candidates because they are weak and allow their campaign managers to control and manipulate them as long as they are doing their work of serving their constituents in the right way.
We have been supporting Donald Trump from the very first day that we heard him saying that he was going to build a wall along every border of this nation; we have been supporting him from the first time he said he was going to restore law and order once again; we have been supporting Donald Trump when he said that refugees should not enter
this country until they have the time to check out these people with the assurance that they are not coming here to destroy us all.
Donald Trump is the only hope the American people have now unless he changes his position and become another everyday politician. They want him to become more presidential and he became more presidential. Now what?
