the radio show Face The Tribune with Attorney Bob Beckett and Rolando
Justice Douglas is going to speak on the need for an appellant court
in Nevada and why the backlog of Supreme Court cases is due to not
having an appeals court.
Governor Kenny Guinn appointed Justice Douglas to the Nevada Supreme
Court in 2004, after his being on the Bench for eight years in the
Nevada Eighth Judicial District Court.
Justice Douglas is very well respected and well liked in both the
legal community and the community in general.
A spokesperson for www.RadioTribune.com told the newspaper that “we
are all overwhelmed with the visit of Justice Douglas” not only to our
radio station, but also for his appearance on Face The Tribune.
Face The Tribune airs every day from noon to one. The show was created
in 2008 by the Las Vegas Tribune’s founder, Rolando Larraz, and has
been hosted by only two other very popular political figures: former
Clark County Recorder Fran Dean and the current Nevada Assemblywoman
Larraz, who doesn’t like to host the show because of his heavy accent,
took over when Fiore left. Although still sharing the hosting mic, he
is looking forward to when current co-host, former Nye County District
Attorney Bob Beckett, will take over as host in January 2014.
RadioTribune.com was founded in 2010.
