Ninth in a Series
On August 15, 2014 there was another encounter with the same man, but this time it was silent. He showed himself, chain-smoking Marlboro, gave a sinister wry smile and an eerie hand wave to Cynthia Turner but said nothing. Turner did not stay around to give him a second chance to speak. She opted to vanish from sight rather than invite a confrontation.
Very oddly, this man has a strong resemblance to Duane Ryzner, recently if not presently head of security at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California. Before now no one has yet publicly connected Ryzner with the Jason Turner murder investigation. Ryzner’s LinkedIn profile makes a claim that he worked at New York-New York Hotel & Casino for seven months in 2003. Cynthia Turner was employed there from December 1996 through April 2005. That is their only known
commonality. But what would that have to do with the murder of Jason Turner and its subsequent cover-up? And why would Ryzner travel about 600 miles to confront Cynthia Turner and the Las Vegas Tribune publisher for telling this story?
If there is indeed another side to this story we want to know it. Send an E-mail to this writer at firstname.lastname@example.org with alternative information. After research and verifying facts presented, or the veracity of “the other side of the story,” valid assertions will be publicized. We would especially like to receive input from the following:
LVMPD Lieutenant Ray Steiber: Why did you tell C. Turner in 2013 that as far as you were concerned “the case is closed?” Is the case evidence still sitting on a shelf in the back room “collecting dust” as you said?
LVMPD Detective Matt Gillis: Is the evidence that you took possession of, and signed for, still available? Why did you tell lies to C. Turner regarding witness and character interviews that did not take place?
Coroner Michael Murphy: Why did you fail to recommend a coroner’s inquest, per NRS 259.050, after being informed by staff that Jason Turner’s death was a homicide? And again, after the toxicology report confirmed that this was a homicide, no inquest?
Former D. A. David Roger: Why did you explode in anger after being presented with evidence that a murder took place? Was there a reason other than political expediency and your moot reelection why you refused to prosecute the only suspect?
Private investigator Thomas D. Dillard: Why did E. Brent Bryson, Esq. pay you $5,000 of Cynthia Turner’s money although you did nothing to further an investigation of the case? Why did you not disclose the conflict of interest in directing Turner to your partner in your business, and other potential conflicts? What influence did you have on your close friend David Roger and his decision not to prosecute?
E. Brent Bryson, Esq.: Why did you destroy or keep forensic evidence entrusted to you by C. Turner, knowing that the evidence was pertinent to a murder investigation? Why did you lob “softball” questions during all your depositions related to this case, and behave as if you were working for the opposing attorney?
Former coroner investigator John Stallings: Were you sober the morning of September 28, 2005 when you responded to the call regarding Jason Turner’s death? Had you met Jennifer Lee Turner prior to that day? Did you pay for the house deeded to you on October 14, 2005, a mere sixteen days after the death of J.Turner? Why did you include so much inaccurate information in your “report of investigation” regarding the incident?
Former NGCB Enforcement Agent Bill Haas: Why did you provide a completely fabricated report regarding the arrest of Jason Turner at New York-New York Casino in April 2005? Was the “senior agent Robert Brown” in your “criminal complaint” the same Robert E. Brown who had married Jason Turner’s aunt Patricia Ann Shenker on June 16, 1984? Who attached the label with acronyms, “DOA” and “L.O.D — 2” to the arrest report signed by you for Jason Turner on April 14, 2005?
Sheriff Douglas Gillespie: Why was Lieutenant Lewis Roberts III forcefully retired as of January 20, 2012, only three months after promotion to head of homicide, and personally taking over the Jason Turner murder case?
William Nathan Burden, Jr.: Why are there so many connections to the El Segundo neighborhood in Los Angeles and Jason Turner’s acquaintances leading up to his murder in 2005? Why might there be not less than a dozen connections between J. Turner and various individuals from Los Angeles, including you, prior to his arrest on fabricated evidence and the subsequent murder?
Gary Lee: Might you be the same individual who started a number of short-lived construction-related companies from a base in California through Eastbiz.com in Las Vegas, and are Jennifer Lee’s father? Are you living in Incline Village or Las Vegas, or Henderson? Are you acquainted with Chris Collins, who also started his various companies through Eastbiz.com?
We would very much like to learn “the other side to this story.” Surely there is one. Answers to the above questions would just scratch the surface without getting to the deeper levels of all that has been involved, and all the pertinent circumstances. Surely there are people not named that also know something pertinent. We welcome any and all information that will help bring the whole story to light. By the Grace of God, may justice be served within all our lifetimes!
