City Clerk’s office open extended hours for those wanting to register
All city of Las Vegas residents who wish to cast a ballot in the city’s Primary Election have until 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, to register to vote.Individuals who have not registered to vote by 7 p.m. March 17 will be unable to vote in the Primary election.The City Clerk’s Office will be open for voter registration through Thursday, March 12, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and extended hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17.The City Clerk’s Office is located on the second floor of Las Vegas City Hall, 495 S. Main Street. Registration can also be completed online at www.clarkcountynv.gov/vote, for citizens with a current and valid Driver’s License or Identification Card issued by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.The March 17 deadline also applies to changes in registration. If a person has moved since he or she originally registered, it is necessary to notify the Clark County Election Department of the change by updating their registration form in person or online, or by calling 702-455-VOTE (8683).Residents will be able to cast a ballot for mayor, Municipal Court Judge Department 1; and those who live in Wards 1, 3, or 5 will also be able to vote for their City Council office.
