Guests should walk around to see the Red Lobster Restaurant’s new Bar Harbor, Maine atmosphere.
Debby, the server, is helpful; she places the appetizer orders quickly for guests to take advantage of the reduced price.
From 3- 6 p.m., the weekday appetizer deals, are available at $5. Choose from sweet chili shrimp, southwest chicken pizza, spicy buffalo chicken bites, crispy calamari and vegetables, and two shrimp tacos.
The “hit of the evening,” the Sweet Chili Shrimp appetizer is full of tantalizing flavors. The ginger gives it a zing with the pineapple and mango all tossed in a sweet chili sauce. The dozen hand battered shrimp are both sweet and spicy. There is a little kick but it is not too spicy.
The lobster, crab and seafood stuffed mushrooms are smothered in Monterey Jack cheese and baked in the oven. With every bite, you taste all the different flavors. There are big chunks of lobster, crab and seafood balanced on six mushrooms.
When you look at the menu, the picture of the Bar Harbor lobster bake is inviting. The large bowl is filled with two layers of seafood. Guests have to eat the lobster, shrimp, scallops and mussels to see the linguini on the bottom. The garlic Beurre Blanc sauce is one of their secret recipes.
Ronda Cox, the Decatur Red Lobster Restaurant General Manager, feels, “It is a definite value for our guests to have a wide selection of both seafood and nonseafood.
There is enough variety that you do not have to just order seafood.
When my husband and I go out to eat he can choose from many other selections.
The Red Lobster Restaurant listens to our guests and focuses on what they want.
We want to be more than just your special occasion restaurant. Come here for a weekday lunch, dinner or just to celebrate being with your family.
Whether it is a couple, a family celebrating together or a party of more than 200 guests, the restaurant has three dining rooms and a cocktail lounge available for parties, banquets and business meetings.”
