To celebrate 20 magical years of performing in Las Vegas, Penn & Teller have extended their show through 2018 at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, making the twisted duo the longest-running headliners at the same property in Las Vegas history.
“When we first moved to Vegas, our hoity-toity New York art and theater friends all screamed in horror. Now they are all regular Vegas visitors and headliners. We’ve loved every minute of our 20 years in Vegas and are wicked excited we get to spend another six at the Rio in the best theater in town. I hate to hurt our next negotiations with Caesars Entertainment, but we have no plans to leave. We intend to die in office,” stated Penn Jillette, the larger and louder half of Penn & Teller.
“It is always exciting when we are able to do something to make Las Vegas history, and the announcement of Penn & Teller’s contract extension is no different,” said Gary Selesner, president of Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas Region. “Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is very honored to be the property that Penn & Teller call home, and we look forward to many more successful years with these talented entertainers.”
Throughout the years, Penn & Teller have remained on the forefront of the industry, appearing in their own Emmy-winning network specials as well as famously-outrageous appearances on “Late Night with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” the “TODAY” show, and television series such as “Friends,” “West Wing,” “Dancing With The Stars,” and even as animated guests on “The Simpsons.”
In 2012, Penn was a standout on NBC’s hit show “Celebrity Apprentice,” and will compete again on the show’s All-Star season premiering Sunday, March 3.
Penn & Teller landed in Las Vegas in 1993 and began a headlining engagement at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in January 2001. In addition to entertaining audiences for the past 20 years with their daring trademark wit and magic, Penn & Teller have been huge supporters of local Vegas charities such as Aid for AIDS of Nevada, United Blood Services and Opportunity Village
Penn & Teller’s live show has been called: “Pure entertainment and demented originality,” (Newsweek); “Hilarious! Mind-bending! Mind-boggling!,” (New York Magazine); and “The single best show in Las Vegas.” (Los Angeles Times). They perform in the Penn & Teller Theatre at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino nightly (dark Thursdays and Fridays) at 9 p.m. Tickets are $75 and $85 and $104.50 for VIP/Ampersand Seating, and are available by calling 702-777-7776.

LEGENDS IN CONCERT TO KICK OFF PERFORMANCES IN NEW HOME
Legends in Concert, the show that’s always in style, will debut in the Flamingo Showroom at Flamingo Las Vegas on Feb. 28, 2013 with an all-star lineup which initially includes tributes to entertainment icons Britney Spears, Elvis Presley, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and Rod Stewart.
Katie Murdock, fondly known as Britney Spears to Legends fans, once again shows the crowd how and why she is revered for her ability to recreate the magic of America’s Pop Princess. After consistently hearing that she looked strikingly similar to the famed singer, Murdock tried her hand as a Britney tribute artist in 2005.
After many years of honing her performing skills paying tribute to Britney, not to mention her life’s work of singing and dancing, Murdock is a Legends artist not to miss.
As a performer, Grahame Patrick’s list of attributes is lengthy and impressive: he’s incredibly talented, handsome, charming, sexy and articulate while staying grounded in reality. As Elvis Presley in the award-winning Legends in Concert production, he’s a shooting star whose tribute to the “King” is uncanny with a stunning voice that evokes the King’s signature sound. Patrick continually enjoys his role and doing what he loves best – entertaining audiences with his tribute to Elvis, the greatest rock ‘n’ roll performer of all time.
Kate Steele is no stranger to the Legends in Concert family: she has been a dedicated cast member for nearly nine years in Legends venues across the country. After traveling the country performing, teaching and recording, during the past three years Steele has been thrilled to be hitting the stage as headliner Lady Gaga. The best part of this particular character is that it allows her to combine all of her talents, immersing herself into one performance, and as a performing artist, that is ideal.
Damian Brantley has always been inspired by the beloved Michael Jackson. Performing in Legends in Concert, Brantley has taken many years to completely hone his homage and his hard work is demonstrated in his every performance. Audiences throughout the world consistently laud his artistry and comment on the feeling of excitement that he shares with everyone. Brantley loves his fans and passionately delivers to them some of the greatest hits of the King of Pop.
When John Anthony decided to be a musical performer, he gave it his all. After teaching himself to sing and realizing he bears an uncanny resemblance to Rod Stewart, Anthony soon found himself on the cover of Las Vegas magazines as one of the area’s best tribute artists. Since 1997, Anthony has charmed audiences for Legends in Concert time and time again. Working tirelessly, his success as a tribute performer has earned him accolades and recognition of which any artist would be proud.
Beginning Thursday, Feb. 28, and building on the show’s thirty years of continuous success, Legends in Concert can be enjoyed in the Flamingo Showroom during their long-term multi-year residency at Flamingo Las Vegas. Performance of the production universally regarded as the world’s greatest celebrity tribute production will take place every Sunday through Friday at 4 p.m. along with additional shows at 9:30 p.m. every Sunday and Monday and on other select weekdays and performance times throughout the year. Tickets are on sale now at all Caesars Entertainment box offices, Ticketmaster or at 702-777-7776. More information is available at www.flamingolasvegas.com or www.legendsinconcert.com.
Legends in Concert began in 1983 with a limited six-week engagement in Las Vegas, and now prepares to celebrate 30 years of success. Featuring live re-creations of superstars of yesterday and today, with performers singing with their own natural voices and backed by a live rockin’ band and the Legends singers and dancers, Legends in Concert is a one-of-a-kind concert experience. The success of the show has afforded On Stage the ability to bring the live celebrity tribute spectacular to many tourist markets. In addition to Las Vegas, On Stage produces Legends shows in Atlantic City, Branson, Foxwoods Casino, Myrtle Beach, on the high seas aboard the Norwegian EPIC, in Waikiki at the Royal Hawaiian Theater and produces the acclaimed theatrical production Elvis Lives: http://elvislivestour.com/
