Numbers-USA has launched a television and radio ad campaign exposing the Gang of Eight amnesty bill and we see the need to make this effort a successful one. In Nevada, SB303 is sitting on the Governor’s desk waiting to be signed and made into law.
If those living in the United States under false pretenses or without the proper paperwork, enjoying the benefits that most likely do not belong to them (regardless of what label politicians want to give them) are able to open a bank account, obtain a “temporary work permit” that allows them to take a job from a legal resident or an American citizen, and are able to legitimately drive a car in our community – and with the help of labor organizations like the Culinary Union Local 226, possibly even able to participate in our election process by voting, at least in our local election – we ask only one question: Why do they need Immigration Reform? They pretty much have it all now.
We understand the efforts of Senators Moises Denis and Ruben Kihuen to work in favor of their own countrymen, but we wonder: Were these two senators elected to serve the entire community or to serve the Mexican community?
Ironically, one member of the Gang of Eight, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, is a very close first cousin of Nevada Majority Leader Moises Denis who is part of the SB303. Again, we ask both Sen. Marco Rubio and Nevada Senator Moises Denis if that is a coincidence, or have they been working on it behind the scenes?
We echo the NumbersUSA campaign ad and are presenting it in its entirety because we consider it very important at this time.
NumbersUSA AD CAMPAIGN TO EXPOSE THE DANGERS OF THE GANG OF EIGHT IMMIGRATION BILL
S 744 Adds Millions of Foreign Workers When
20 Million Americans Still Looking For Work
– NumbersUSA launched TV and radio ads this week in Nevada and 17 other states to expose the dangers of the Obama-Rubio-Schumer Amnesty bill that rewards millions of illegal immigrants with work permits, imports millions more new foreign job-seekers and asks Americans to trust that the government will enforce immigration laws someday in the future.
The Gang of Eight immigration bill, which passed the Senate Judiciary Committee recently and will come up for a vote in June, issues 33 million new, lifetime work permits to job-seekers from around the world over the next ten years at a time when 20 million Americans still cannot find full-time jobs.
“The Gang of Eight bill abandons the 20 million of our fellow Americans who need a job; and it does so for the purpose of rewarding the wealthy special interests who wrote the bill and who will reap the profits of further glutting the labor market and driving down the wages of American workers,” said Roy Beck, NumbersUSA president.
“Under the flood of tens of millions more foreign workers over the next decades, more middle-class occupations will collapse and essential jobs that now pay near-poverty wages will have little chance of improving.”
Script of the ad:
Jobs — 20 million of our friends, family and neighbors still can’t find one. Young adults are wondering if they’ll ever be financially independent. So, why is Congress talking about giving 33 million new work permits to foreign job seekers? That’s like putting the entire population of Canada in line for American jobs. The politicians call it immigration reform. What kind of reform brings in more foreign job-seekers when what 20 million Americans need is more jobs?
Beck added, “Our polling has shown that voters overwhelmingly reject the Gang of Eight’s key principles that America is under threat of labor shortages, that it needs more immigrant workers and that repeating the failed work-permits-first and promises-of-enforcement-later policy of the 1986 amnesty will produce a different outcome than just more illegal immigration. We’ll continue to uncover the flaws in the Gang of Eight Immigration Bill.”

State Senator Mo Denis believes that granting driving privileges to undocumented aliens will bring “safer roads,” which would require all those living illegally in Nevada to take a driving test before they could receive a card.
We hope it will include a written test as well, since a great number of those driving in our city hardly know how to read and write and consequently don’t have a clue as to the meaning of the many signs, such as “Yield,” to mention only one.
Bottom Line: Yes, we open our doors and our shores to those from other countries and other nations. However, any loving and logical family must first take care of its own children and its own self as a family unit before it gives away its bounty. Even the richest man in town, if he continued to give away part of his fortune every day, would soon have nothing left for himself. We doubt that all his beneficiaries would then start giving back to him!
