I was invited to an evening of pairing Grey Goose Vodka cocktails with a nine course dinner at the celebrated Herringbone Restaurant and, as though that was not enough, to attend the official opening of the Jewell Nightclub in their private Grey Goose Suite.
Matching the finest selections from the Herringbone Restaurant’s cuisine with the delicate flavors of Grey Goose Vodka offered intriguing possibilities.
The VIP’s & Media guests sat under the stars among Palm trees in Herringbone’s tropical patio, reminiscent of an island getaway.
When you pair Herringbone Restaurant’s naturally sourced seafood, meats, poultry and vegetables with Grey Goose Vodka’s superior ingredients and uniquely designed production process, the results are exceptional.
I watched the bartender prepare Grey Goose Le Grand Fizz for our Amuse, a delightful mix of Grey Goose, St. Germain, lime and soda. The Amuse consisted of mini heirloom Radishes and for a touch of luxury Truffle butter and Sea Salt.
For the second course, the appetizer “Yacht” could have been a main meal with two tiers filled with oysters, Alaskan King Crab, Maine Lobsters and jumbo Shrimp. This course was completed with the Chef Selection of Crudo (Italian word for raw)- a refreshing sweet Mango, Jalapeno Salsa, cold- pressed extra-virgin olive oil and Micro Greens.
“Yacht” and Crudo paired well with Grey Goose Vin Blanc, La Poire cocktail combined with cold-pressed apple juice, French cider, Crème de Peche and mineral water to capture the essence of the crab, lobster, shrimp and mango flavors.
The next course, the Desert Bloom Spring Mix starter Salad included strawberries, candied pecans, goat cheese and Presecco Vinaigrette. The crunchy pecans with the softness of the goat cheese and fresh strawberries added a mix of flavors to tantalize the palate.
The Desert Bloom Salad’s ingredients paired well with Grey Goose Vin Rose cocktail prepared with white grapes, grapefruit, lavender, Crème De Framboise and mineral water.
Guillaume Jubien, Grey Goose Ambassador, explained, “We want to bring the idea of drinking wine, not wine but a replica of famous wines. Grey Goose cocktails have the truest texture and character of wine.”
A great dinner heightened by the right Grey Goose cocktails takes the experience to another level.
After only eating the first four of the nine courses on our special party menu, the guests relaxed before continuing the feast, there was still two hours until the Jewell Nightclub opening.
The dinner was prepared by Herringbone Restaurant’s Chef/Owner Brian Malarkey and paired with signature Grey Goose cocktails. For information, call (702)-590-9898. The Herringbone Restaurant, is located inside the Aria Hotel, 3730 Las Vegas Boulevard. Website: http://herringboneeats.com/las-vegas/
