People don’t know what they have until they lose it; some, even if they know what they have don’t know how to appreciate what they have or don’t know how to value what they have.
American people have the habit of taking everything for granted, among it the freedom they enjoy even if it is not a bulletproof freedom; they don’t know how to appreciate the precious right of being able to vote for and elect a candidate of their choice despite the possibility that someone may play with the results of the election.
The American people are blessed with the opportunity of saluting their flag and singing their national anthem, and reciting the pledge of allegiance that in many countries is against the law and in other countries ignored.
I have been always amazed how freely some people burn the American flag without anyone ever saying anything or stopping it from taking place.
I take it as an honor and a privilege whenever I am at the city council or at the county commissioners meeting and I can place my hand on my heart and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
I am glad that President Trump is nothing like me because if I were the president and were treated like some people are treating him, I would have walked away and told all those people where to go.
Every thing he does and said is wrong for these frustrated socialists that cannot accept the fact that he was legitimately elected by the majority of the American voters and it is paying the price for it.
Eighteen people made up the long list of Republicans that were running for the nomination, and out of the eighteen people he was the one the voters selected to advance to the general election.
There were others with more experience, but the voters have chosen Donald Trump to be our president and now the socialist liberal Democrats and frustrated Republicans cannot accept the public’s choice.
With the exception of President Jimmy Carter, who once in awhile opened his socialist mouth and went to bow to the Cuban brothers, all the other former presidents did their time, served their country and retired to their respective states to live the good life and enjoy their millions.
All but Obama, who stayed in the nation’s capital, a few blocks from the White House and keeps opening his mouth every time he gets a chance, interfering with the president’s work.
They cry when someone in the Trump administration uses an airplane at the taxpayers’ expense, but I did not hear anyone saying one word when former First Lady Michelle Obama went to Spain with several friends, and her mother and daughter and stayed for one month.
The Air Force jet the former First Lady flew costs $11,351 per hour to operate, according to several reports, meaning a 14-hour round trip would cost nearly $160,000, but I did not hear the Democrats, the Socialists, and the Liberal media say one word about the trip.
Mrs. Obama and friends stayed at a five-star Hotel Villa near Marbella, where at least 30 rooms were reserved for the entourage, including those for security. The hotel, one of Spain’s more luxurious establishments, with rooms ranging from $500-a-night to a $6,600 suite with 24-hour butler service may be okay because it was for the socialist first lady of the United States and Democrats only complain about Republicans, regardless of who is right or who is wrong, but I forgot — Democrats are never wrong.
I love this country and as much as I want to understand what is going on inside the Democrats’ heads, their attitude does not make sense to me.
People that have served the country, people that have family members that gave their life for this country, for our freedom and our liberty and still cannot accept things as they appear to be and cannot accept the voice of the people of this country even if they don’t agree with it.
One thing good here is that the president, like it or not, is president for four years; maybe at the most eight years total, so they can start now working on how to elect the candidate of their choice and make sure to win.
One for the road: The County Coroner has ruled the death of a Las Vegas man a suicide after he was found with multiple gun shots. Multiple gunshots a suicide? Really? Who are they covering for?
A note to OJ Simpson: OJ, if you want to listen to the advice of a very old man that always believed you were railroaded by the corrupt judicial system of Nevada, leave the country of Las Vegas as soon as you can because your freedom is at risk. Don’t talk to anyone and stay away from the local media; all they want is to get a little bit of notoriety so they can brag at the clubhouse of the apartment complex where they live.
