When you drive along Sunset Boulevard, the Moment Boutique Hotel attracts your attention.
The bamboo grass is reminiscent of Thailand’s lemongrass although this is Horsetail grass.
The exotic grass decorates the front of the hotel and is featured prominently in the lobby, guestrooms, on the roof deck and throughout the property.
Another striking feature is the hotel’s unique architecture. Craig Settimo, the Moment Boutique Hotel’s General Manager, explained, “The hotel was designed by Amit Apel who is known for his theories of movement in design.
It is called organic architecture. The slanted and sloped walls create the feeling of motion.
There are three-color schemes- orange, deep purple and green. The rooms and halls have a bright, lively feeling. Each room has a different color scheme.
The property has retro touches with a modern look.
Our building takes on two lives. The designs are colorful during the day and at night the lobby and streetlights create a unique mood.”
Everything is new. The Moment Boutique Hotel was built in 2013 with a July opening.
There are 38 guestrooms and one suite.
The guestroom showers have rain showerheads that flow slowly, naturally like being in a rainfall and the shower is large enough for two people.
Instead of the usual small bottles, the shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion and moisturizer are in large bottles so guests can indulge themselves.
The guestrooms feature 46” LCD televisions, complimentary Wi-Fi and electronic black out drapes.
There are custom-built wood-veneer furnishings, Caesar Stone Quartz and stainless steel fixtures.
Craig realizes some of the reasons that people come to Hollywood. “People come to discover their dreams and reach for the stars.
The Moment Hotel is on Guitar Row where many musicians got their start and the famous musicians shop.
Some guests reminisce about the past when they were younger and watched the stars on television or in the movies.
In Hollywood, they could enjoy a stage show, take sightseeing tours or see where the stars live. The guests can choose to walk around film sets and watch a movie being produced.
We are within walking distance to some of the finest hikes in Los Angeles.”
If you like nature, try Griffith Park, Runyon Canyon, Will Rogers Historical Park and Escondido Falls. Griffith Park also has an Observatory and Planetarium.
The hotel thinks of the guest’s comfort. If you don’t have a computer, the complimentary business center is open 24 hours in the lobby.
Guests can choose from 200 channels on Direct Television.
The Moment Boutique Hotel is located at 7370 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. For information, call 323-391-4808. www.themomenthotel.com
