Maggiano’s Little Italy® Summerlin’s private opening party quickly became the event of the year as the VIP’s, Media and special guests arrived. Their restaurant’s atmosphere was so soothing, freeing the mind to relax and enjoy dining.
Our super luxe luncheon menu included four courses with 11 different selections. I felt this was a delicious way to sample a variety of Maggiano’s famous cuisine.
The Meat and Cheese Antipasti Starter beacons the guest with imported sliced prosciutto, salami, barrata, spiced walnuts, sweety drop peppers, aged parmesan and garlic crostini. What a wonderful mix of ingredients and flavors!
Another Starter joined the first, a Classic Tomato Bruschetta Bar with fresh tomatoes, basil, Balsamic vinegar and roasted garlic. This Bruschetta Bar can be customized to suit your taste. Both of these Starters are perfect for couples, families or friends to share.
Next, the Crispy Zucchini Fritte Appetizer with Lemon Aioli and chopped salad were served. Inside the crispy covering, the Zucchini tasted moist and tender.
The entrees began with the Lighter Take Chicken Piccata, a delicate lingering taste of capers and lemon butter sauce with spinach and hand-cut Fettuccine (650 calories). While the Regular Chicken Piccata was served with capers and lemon butter sauce with Spaghetti Aglio Olio (1,170 calories).
An entrée from the sea, the Shrimp Fra Diavolo thrills the taste buds with garlic, tomatoes, pan-seared shrimp and Diavolo Sauce with hand-cut fettuccine (740 calories). The shrimp tantalized with a hint of spice, yet not too much to overpower the meal. The surprising Lighter Take Shrimp Fra Diavolo offers the same thrills and ingredients at lower calories (370).
If you have an allergy or health diet the chef will be happy to come to the table and discuss this with you. Some of the entrees can be ordered Lighter Take or Regular-style while all of the sauces are hand-crafted without gluten-containing ingredients. They even identify the selections with nuts on the menu. It’s nice to know you can dine at Maggiano’s without worrying. They value their customers with one main goal-to make people feel special.
Maggiano’s is currently not scheduled to be open for lunch during the week. The parent company is projecting to serve their large portions of Italian-American dishes, including pastas, salads, steaks and fish on Monday to Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m., and 11 p.m. on Friday, plus Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sundays.
