The year 2010 was a very pivotal year; in a word, it was Metro’s best year for corruption and cover-ups. The Stanley Gibson Officer Involved Shooting, cover-up and spin; The Costco Officer Involved Shooting, cover-up and spin; and the series of Home Invasion Robberies, Sexual Assaults, lies, evidence mishandling, false arrests, prosecutorial misconduct, evidence tampering, and the culmination of many career-ending, manufactured, false incidents by the police administration, including my career.
As with any phony, career-ending information, super secret information comes to the surface that the fake police administrators hope wouldn’t become public knowledge. Take for instance the Costco Officer Involved Shooting: there was an issue with the main camera recording system. This camera would have shown the complete shooting and killing of Eric Scott; but unfortunately, according to the LVMPD, it allegedly was not working properly. But according to the LVMPD, this recording unit was going to be sent out of state to an expert video company and there could be some evidence recovered. Good old Metro comes through with the corruption, and sends the unit to a company in Las Vegas that happens to be owned by a LVMPD sergeant., who of course takes his orders from the Sheriff. How many different ways can you say Obstruction of Justice?
The Stanley Gibson case is something totally different. The spin now is that the officer that shot and killed Gibson can remain silent and never have to testify. The police administrators can say anything they like as to the actions of the officer and even send the entire case to the DA’s office. I still don’t know where this ruling stands, but I do know that the DA’s Office is holding a few more cards as to whether or not to charge the officer with a criminal offence. I personally spoke with Officer Aveola as to what he did and did not do. The main blame should be on the lieutenant who came and told everybody he was in charge and changed the plan without letting everyone know, especially Officer Aveola. It is like charging a soldier in combat with Murder — it just isn’t done.
The third biggie cover-up in 2010 was the series of sexual assaults, robberies, and Kidnaps in our community, which included DA Roger having to step down three years before his term was up because of his complicity with false arrest and evidence tampering. What a big mess that was, which involved the FBI, Justice Dept. and Metro. I personally let the FBI know about this really dirty case, and I would do it again in a flash.
So there you have it, folks — and that is only for one year, 2010. Just hold your breath for the 2018 Sheriffs debates, when we will really get into it.
Remember to keep your Faith, keep your Gun, and they can keep their Change.
