During the first term of Obama’s presidency that amnesty never happened; in fact, the Obama Administration turned into the one with more deportations than any other administration in the history of the United States.
During the president’s second term, immigration reform took first place again and in November 2014, two years into the president’s current term, Frank De Varona wrote in the Las Vegas Tribune that “Ironically, Obama stated previously more than 25 times that as president, he had no authority to change the immigration laws of the nation. He said over and over that it is the Congress that needed to do immigration reform. Obama said he was not an emperor and that the United States is a nation of laws. Of course, he is a liar who will say and do whatever he wants for political reasons. Obama is more than an emperor; he is a dictator!
He acts omnipotent at home while being impotent with our enemies abroad. Obama blamed, as usual, the Republicans in Congress for the failure to enact immigration reform and thus he was forced to act unilaterally.
While many may be wondering why we bring this to the spotlight when Obama is almost at the end of his presidential term, we would like to remind the voters in Clark County, as well as all those in the rest of
the country, that Democrat candidate for the 2016 presidential election, Hillary Clinton, has been in Las Vegas several times and has used the same tactics and lies as Obama.
During one of those visits at the predominantly Mexican Rancho High School, Clinton emphasized to the crowd about her “impeccable record” on immigration and promised them to fix their immigration status, stating that they can count on her.
It is time for politicians to stop being politicians and become truthful candidates with an honest interest in serving the nation or their respective areas or jurisdictions.
Any candidate that is running for office and stops lying to the constituents may have a better chance to win that post than those who believe they are smarter than the rest of the population and keep lying to get elected.
The voters are getting tired of the Sandovals and they may get a surprise in the upcoming 2016 election.
Just last week we predicted that despite Governor Sandoval’s assurance that he is not interested in running for any other job because he is going to finish his term, he will run for the U.S. Senate; and we also predicted that if he does run for Harry Reid’s seat, he will lose, because he already lied during his reelection campaign when he promised that he was not raising taxes and raised them to the max as never before in the history of Nevada.
If Sandoval runs he will lose because people will make a statement that they are tired of being lied to by those people talking down to them.
It may not be all that way in different part of the country where some old-timers are set in their own ways voting the party line, but we can see the changes here in Nevada where shaking hands, posing for pictures and kissing babies don’t cut it anymore; those days are gone.
The days when women voted for a candidate because he is young and good-looking are a thing of the past; the days that women voted for a female candidate are also history because women voters are very important and they know that, so they ask questions and if the answers are not what they want to hear, the vote will go to another candidate.
Every election the voters are more intelligent, become more involved in the community issues, are more prepared to ask questions that are important to the families and to the futures of the next generation.
That is why the campaign managers do not want the people to get close to “their candidates” because in many cases they, the campaign managers, don’t want the voters to know how dumb some of these candidates are.
Candidates that are on the up and up do not need to hide behind a campaign manager; they want to hear the questions directly from the people that are voting for them and they want the voters to hear what they have to say.
