If history has taught us anything, it is before any government can take total control of any population, it must remove any and all means by that population to physically revolt against unreasonable sanctions, taxes, restrictions, occupations, and burdens ordered by that government.
In 1933, Adolph Hitler – as Chancellor of Germany – ordered the registration of all guns with the stated goal and intention of making Germany a kinder, gentler nation. After that total gun registration was accomplished, he then ordered his brown shirts to confiscate all of the guns and then established that his word is now the ultimate Law, way above any Constitution or written law.
Think about this: if every Nazi that forced a Jew to “relocate” and enter into the over 300 concentration killing camps were met with a Jew with a gun in his hand, the Holocaust would never have happened. Hitler would also never have been able to just march into neighboring countries and take over that country without even firing a shot. “He who has the guns makes the rules.”
There are those who say that something like this could never happen in our great American nation; of course we used to be great and are not now. Well, it might not happen overnight like it did in Germany, but if you look at it closer, you will notice a nibbling away at our Amendments, especially with the acceptance of the Patriot Act, which was emotionally voted for and accepted by Congress with the overwhelming approval of the public at the time… but not now.
The nibbling away at the Second Amendment is just the beginning of a much broader scheme to control the masses and to eventually shove more tyrannical laws down our throat. The 300 million guns in the hands and homes of law-abiding American citizens are going to be hard to undo. The steps needed will be to force gun registration, place more restrictions on types and models, place restrictions on quantity, place restrictions on justifiable need, and finally start taxing and requiring insurance on each and every gun in your household on a yearly basis, just like government does on your automobile.
Consider this: “Fear a Government that fears your Gun.”
This country has effectively removed God from State and the public sector and has prohibited even the Ten Commandments from being displayed in Halls of Justice across the nation. The Supreme Court has ruled that this prohibition is Constitutionally proper, when all the while the Ten Commandments are proudly displayed and positioned on the wall directly behind the Supreme Court Bench; a little hypocritical, wouldn’t you say?
We have lots of laws prohibiting the criminal; the unlawful use, possession, transfer, modification, and identification obliteration of guns. The criminal by nature doesn’t care about what laws are passed; he/she/they will continue to do what they want to do; there is just no changing it, and all the laws and signs in the world are not going to affect the criminal and his behavior.
Pushing the American Law-Abiding Gun-Owner around is just going to cement their resolve in keeping their hands wrapped tightly around their guns, and the only way the government or anyone else is going to get those guns is to physically pry them from American Law-Abiding Gun-Owner’s cold clammy hands; in other words, after they are dead.
