People are raving about the Golden Corral Buffet and they are right!
Phil Abney, Golden Corral Manager, explained, “Our buffet offers 150 different items, that is a lot of choices. We got the idea from the Rio Hotel, their buffet has themes- American, Asian, Chinese and Mexican.”
There are woks with Orange Chicken, Sweet and Sour along with other Chinese favorites. You can see the Mexican selections at another counter and even a pizza bar.
In addition to the themes, there is a steak grill where the man asks, “How do you want your steaks?” and cooks them accordingly while you watch and the charcoal flavor adds to the taste. These steaks are marinated for 48 hours before serving. The steaks are served after 4 pm.
Instead of just having one style of baby back ribs, you choose from three different flavors. A man stands by the slab of ribs ready to cut them for you.
There are five different types of chicken- chicken fajita, fried, baked, BBQ chicken and rotisserie chicken. Take a tour of the different food sections so you don’t miss anything.
The Golden Corral also serves a wide selection of healthy choices and food that is cooked different ways to satisfy everyone.
Phil commented, “There is a salad bar also every kind of farm fresh vegetable you could possibly want, even corn-on-the-cob.
Our mushrooms are medium yet they look much larger. We prepare them hand breaded and natural. Some of the food is named like Mamas mashed pots; Aunt Beas fried chicken and others.
Just take some cornbread off the skillet, that is a dish you don’t see in Las Vegas very often.
There are items you will always find- Bourbon Street chicken marinated with New Orleans spices, pot roast, mac and cheese, fried chicken carrot cake and rolls.
The Golden Corral brings “down-south” and “New Orleans” cuisine to their customers. These are southern-style meals.”
The Golden Corral is open daily and at 7:30 am, on Saturday and Sunday for breakfast with custom omelets, steaks and breakfast favorites. At 11 am, lunch begins at $8.99 and dinner at $12.19. Children receive special prices depending on their age while those three years old and under eat free.
The Golden Corral is located at Lamb and Charleston, behind Home Depot.
The company has franchises across the United States.
