This year’s event will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, the 50th anniversary of the Beatles album, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and the Fast and Furious franchise.
Featuring more than 75 iconic cars, the event will begin on Friday, May 19 with a warm welcome from Clark County Commissioner Lawrence Weekly and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Official Showgirls at the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign followed by a parade of cars from hit numerous shows and films.
The festivities are set to continue at Fremont Street Experience where visitors can line up to see an extensive showcase of the legendary cars. The city of Las Vegas and the LVCVA will kick off the Opening Ceremony at 5 p.m. on Fremont Street Experience’s 3rd Street Stage.
Las Vegas Car Stars will pay homage to original television and movies recognized worldwide, and the event will also host a special meet and greet with various celebrities such as Spencer Wilding of Star Wars Rogue One, Back to the Future actress Tamera Carrera, actor Byron Cherry of Dukes of Hazzard, Catherine Hickland from the television series Knight Rider and many others.
Vintage, hotrod and classic car owners will be participating with Las Vegas Car Stars throughout the duration of this year’s event to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network, a nationally recognized charity that assists children and their families in need.

CONTAINER PARK GETS WILD WITH KIDS CAMP SAFARI-THEMED EVENT
Container Park’s monthly ‘Kids Camp’ returns with jungle-themed “Safari Day,” 5/20 ‘Kid’s Camp’ returns to Downtown Container Park with “Safari Day” — an afternoon filled with animals, a bouncy house, and a scavenger hunt… OH MY!
On Saturday, May 20th, the returning third-Saturday kids’ event brings an expedition filled with jungle-themed games, crafts, food, and adventure to the Container Park lawn.
For $9 per child, little explorers will have hours of art, entertainment, and adventure in the palms of their paws! Kids (and parents!) are encouraged to dress as their favorite animal for the safari-themed spree.
A special “ Safari Passport ” scavenger hunt will have your wild critters prowling the grounds of Downtown Container Park, trying jungle-themed foods such as Swamp Juice and creating their own safari mask.
Kids can enjoy the Safari Bounce House and jungle-themed games on the lawn and snap pictures with their favorite animals in a special photo booth!

Emmy-award winning choreographer, producer, director, dancer and actress, Anita Mann, will choreograph and direct SHARE, INC.’s annual Boomtown Gala. “Let’s Dance” will be held on Saturday, May 20 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The event features dinner, a live auction and an evening of entertainment, including Mann’s choreographed show, featuring the ladies of SHARE; legendary recording artists, The 5th Dimension with original member, Florence LaRue; actor and ventriloquist, Jay Johnson, as the night’s host; international recording artist and headliner of “FANTASY” at Luxor Las Vegas, Lorena Peril; and a special dedication to dancer, philanthropist and the night’s honoree, Glorya Kaufman.

“CONTACT!” SONG AND DANCE SHOW COMING TO SOUTH POINT MAY 21
In this passionate and original show of dance and love songs, the gifted and elegant husband and wife song and dance team Michael Kessler and Melinda Jackson, featuring their company M&M American Dance Theatre, will present “CONTACT!” at the South Point’s 400-seat showroom on Sunday, May 21, 7:30 p.m.
The show will highlight their over three decades of genuine romance and top-notch performances together from Broadway, ballet and around the world.
“CONTACT!” will be a celebration of song and dance with the amazing duo’s 30 years of love from the start, with each other and with the art of musical dance theatre.
Jackson’s and Kessler’s love ignited an international career together spanning from Broadway to the Las Vegas Strip, to theatres and opera houses worldwide.
They were also the starring song and dance team in “The Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular,” touring in over 80 U.S. cities and playing an extended run at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas.
