P. J. Clarke’s name has been highly honored since 1885 and throughout the years, their customers are always assured of a truly regal dining experience.
Part of the allure of J. P. Clarke’s Las Vegas Chophouse is their uniqueness.
Dennis McCartney, the General Manager, explained, “P. J. Clarke’s has a lot of history.
Our Side Car has an exact replica of Frank Sinatra’s booth in the New York restaurant. Frank Sinatra loved the booth so much and hated when people were sitting in it that he bought it. That’s his piece of real estate but now our customers are allowed to sit there.
The light fixtures are shipped from old churches and old subways around New York.
The walls are filled with pictures of celebrities, athletes, and VIP’s who had been to the New York P. J. Clarke’s. This was “the spot” in New York.
Every piece of furniture we have is interesting. The handcrafted century-old Phoenix Bar was previously part of the Rothschild Estate and the marble-topped Raw Bar was from someone’s home in Italy.”
Executive Chef Joseph “JB” Boyer keeps up their successful traditions and quality of their food. He especially enjoys getting involved in their famous Raw Bar. “J. P. Clarke’s is the number one oyster buying restaurant in Las Vegas. Our daily Happy Hour menu, from 3-6 PM, offers $1 per oyster and there is a huge following. Ryan and Eric shucked 2,000 oysters today. When I join them, it’s entertaining for our customers to watch. The customers know they are getting fresh oysters, they don’t get any fresher. We go through so many daily there is no middle man just direct from the purveyor to us. It only takes two days and the oysters are on our table. That is unbelievable meal for $1 an oyster. It’s a ball!”
As P. J. Clarke’s motto says, “Its classic P.J.’s with a Vegas touch. Sinatra would approve. We think you’ll like it too.”
P. J. Clarke’s atmosphere of elegant dark hardwood paneling was reminiscent of the old world early steakhouses.
