The Ermitage Hotel, elegant as well as boldly Swiss, brings luxury to a new level.
With such a grand setting, guests can be assured their restaurant experience would be just as spectacular.
The server begins by bringing a complimentary cold starter, the classic Italian Grissini cookey with eggplant caviar and a fresh cream cheese originally from their Schonried region. This is accompanied by a sesame cookie topped with foie gras (goose liver) on the side.
Later he returns with another complimentary appetizer, their warm Amuse-Bouche and calls it “a gift from the kitchen“.
Their recipe combinations add a thrilling taste treat to the meal.
The colorful Royal Crab/ Shrimp salad offers tomatoes in three colors (tomato espuma), transparent tomato ravioli with royal carb tartar, olive oil malt and balsamic emulsion.
Their Middle Eastern couscous tabouli salad includes octopus and a spicy Chorizo sausage from Spain.
The juicy sautéed veal filet is a pleasant change with baked veal sweetbreads, three times broccoli shallot puree and glazed shallots.
Their menu also offers a saddle of venison, sautéed and crispy duck, monkfish, Saint-Pierre fish and more.
For the finale, the desserts feature chocolate cherry cake, American cheese cake, strawberry mousse with fresh strawberries and a wide selection of Swiss and local cheeses.
Whichever foods you choose, this is quite a meal!
The Ermitage Hotel calls their restaurant, “A special experience for your palate and for your eyes“.
They offer an interesting concept, eight dining room lounges all with one menu. Guests can eat in a different dining room lounge setting each night.
A few of the selections are the “Table d’ Hôte”, the “Ermitage Lounge” an à la carte restaurant and the traditional Fondue-Spycher with different traditional cheese fondues or the Chinoise meat Fondues.
At lunch, guests can choose the Ermitage lunch buffet from 12- 2 pm in their Chuchis Lounge. The new Front Kitchen offers hot and cold specialties with a menu that changes daily.
Although the Ermitage is located in a small village, guests receive first class dining as well as a luxurious stay and all of the comforts comparable to other five-star hotels in large cities.
