Photos by David Magnus
The Morrison Hotel Gallery offers a unique collection of Fifty Years Later: The Beatles- All You Need is Love. These include photographs never-seen-before, casual everyday photos of The Beatles and their friends.
As you walk around the gallery, there are photographs in black and white along with color, the main theme, a look behind-the-scenes inside-the-lives of The Beatles when the stars spent time relaxing away from their fans.
You not only see these vivid true depictions of The Beatles’ lives, these collections are by photographer David Magnus, a man who had the enviable position to be the Beatles’ friend and present at many of their gatherings.
David met The Beatles when he was 19, at the time they were beginning their rise. The Beatles liked David while he followed their career as a photographic biographer. The raport between them made David privy to photographs none of the other photographers were able to take. This was not during their public appearances but spontaneous, natural photographs.
For the first time you can see these photographs and for the first time the public is able to purchase them.
Photographer David Magnus got to witness it all, meeting The Beatles at the age of 19 and following them as they made music history around the globe. His close relationship with the band and their publicist gained Magnus amazing behind-the-scenes access to The Beatles’ historic “All You Need Is Love” recording session over the weekend of June 24th and 25th, 1967.
