Today people are worried about lots of things they read about or hear
about on TV News broadcasts.
The world seems to be in total chaos. The Middle East, Europe and
parts of Asia and South East Asia all seem to be going through
revolutions, or the beginning of a revolution, or a military takeover
of their government etc. Added to these problems, are the crimes being
committed against humanity when poison gas or other poisonous elements
are put into the atmosphere killing thousands upon thousands of
Combined with these problems are the continuous threats against Israel
and other countries that don’t have the same social and economic
backgrounds or the same religious upbringing as can be found in
countries that continue to rattle the sword.
These things are not prophecies or new news to anyone… these kinds
of things have been happening throughout history.
During the 20th century, our country found itself involved in military
conflicts that took place all over the globe. In 1941 to 1945 World
War II raged. Then, in 1950 to 1959, the Korean War was upon us.
In 1954 to 1975, it was Vietnam. In 2010 it was Iraq. American
military interventions have also taken place worldwide, in between
these well-known conflicts.
The fact of the matter is, when it comes to human conflict, in one way
or the other, this seems to be the rule of thumb (as they call it).
Some conflicts are more newsworthy than others, some have a higher
mortality rate, and others consist of unspeakable atrocities, etc.
It remains a fact that the two most harmful things on the face of this
earth are Politics and Religion. In one way or the other, one of those
two things has been the cause of every conflict the world has ever
It seems to me that as time has gone by, our beloved USA has taken
upon itself the task of intervening into worldwide politics and or
religious matters by setting ourselves up as the world’s police force,
sometimes the judge and jury, sometimes the peacemakers, sometimes
through our CIA, we’ve been the country that has provoked all-out war
somewhere in the world.
What do you imagine would happen if we left all these other countries
to their own devices? The way the world functions today, this would
not only be unthinkable, it would be impossible.
It comes down to survival of the fittest. A country with the most
powerful Army, Navy and Air Force, automatically becomes a world
While this is true, looking at history, every great empire that ever
existed, who during their place in time had the biggest and strongest
army, the most money, the most up-to-date technology, all came
tumbling down like Humpty-Dumpty; and all the King’s horses, and all
the King’s men, couldn’t put them together again.
Do we believe that history repeats itself? Let’s take a look at
historical facts when it comes to great empires collapsing from
We can go as far back in history as we wish; back to the Mesopotamian
Empire, or the Sumerian Empire, or the Babylonian Empire, or the
Persian Empire or even the Roman Empire…
Each of those incredible empires had the best of everything inasmuch
as having the biggest armies, the most money, the best technology of
their day yet, as I have said, it’s a matter of recorded history that
each and every one of those magnificent empires came tumbling down.
One school of thought is that each of those great empires stuck their
noses into other people’s business (for lack of other words).
Taking care of their own wasn’t enough; the land they possessed wasn’t
enough; they wanted more, and the way to get more was through
aggression brought about by using either political or religious
One thing led to another… wars, killing of innocent people, the
advancement of technology, bigger and better weapons that increased
killing capacity etc. etc. and here we are today, living in the
greatest empire the world has ever known… I hope this gives you some
food for thought.
