When you visit the rustic Brewery Gulch Inn retreat, you get it all- views of the ocean and Smuggler’s Cove, mountain trails, historic Mendocino and unforgettable gourmet meals that you will rave about when you return to your home. You can expect the best treatment and experience the same as staying at a fine hotel, you receive here at the inn.
Recognized by Travel & Leisure, Conde Nast and other publications, the Brewery Gulch Inn stands proud of their accomplishments.
Executive Chef Margaret J. Davis surprises guests with her original culinary creations even for breakfast, a menu offering several choices or the usual eggs and bacon.
One cooked-to-order Breakfast selection: A slice of Costeaux Brioche grilled and served open-faced with sliced Heirloom Tomatoes, fanned Avocado and peppery Arugula dressed with a house made Lemon-Basil emulsion. Chef Margaret commented, “I topped all of this goodness with Millionaire’s Bacon.” She adds a Yukon Gold Potato Cake and cup of Fruit.
She cooked Brisket of roast beef four hours in the oven to prepare Hash for breakfast with Celery, Carrots and Parsnip, Tomato Chipotle, Red Pepper Sauce and Eggs cooked to your choice of doneness.
Crab Cakes are my favorite appetizer or meal but I have never tried herbed Salmon Belly or Abalone Cakes before staying at the Brewery Gulch Inn. The large Salmon Belly Cakes tasted so tender and crispy along with their wonderful all-you-can-eat dinner and wine tasting including Balsamic Roast Roma Tomatoes, Corn Pudding with Cheddar Cheese and Candy Cap Mushrooms, steamed Haricots Vert with Agrumato Lemon Olive Oil, Passion Fruit Mousse Cups and Hearth Italian Bread with Sweet Butter. What a meal!
