As school lets out for summer, 50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic in Imagine Exhibitions Gallery at The Venetian Las Vegas invites teachers to enjoy their vacation with free admission to the gallery during the months of June and July. Educators will be inspired by this comprehensive exploration of National Geographic’s most iconic and recognized photographs, including Bruce Dale’s captivating photo of a Plane Tail in Flight; Thomas Abercrombie’s intriguing photograph of a woman shopping in Kabul, Afghanistan; and Kevin Schafer’s playful photo of Amazon River Dolphins in Brazil.

To receive free admission, educators must show relevant identification indicating their school or district to the Imagine Exhibitions Gallery’s box office. 50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic is open daily for a limited engagement from 9:30 a.m. — 7 p.m., last ticket sold at 6 p.m. Ticket prices are as follows: General admission $16; students with a valid ID, Nevada residents, military, and seniors $13; children 12 and under enjoy free admission when accompanied by a paying adult; additional children $12. Imagine Exhibitions Gallery at The Venetian presents 50 Greatest Photographs of National Geographic , a comprehensive exploration of National Geographic’s most iconic images. The exhibition showcases some of the magazine’smost-remembered and celebrated photographs from its 125-year-old history, such as Steve McCurry’s unforgettable “Afghan Girl,” Nick Nichols’ image of Jane Goodall and chimpanzee, Thomas Abercrombie’s incomparable view of Mecca, and many more. For some photographs, visitors can see the “near frames” taken by the photographer: the sequence of images made in the field before and after the perfect shot. THE IMPROV AT HARRAH’S: JUNE 11 — JUNE 16
The world-famous Improv at Harrah’s Las Vegas is the longest-running comedy club on the Las Vegas Strip. The Improv’s ability to showcase young comedians, as well as bring in big names, has attributed to its longevity and success.
Each week, The Improv showcases three of the funniest and freshest faces in comedy, creating a show that is always unique and definitely funny. The comedians who will perform June 11 — June 16 are:
Wendy Liebman: Wendy Liebman has been performing her uniquely timed style of stand-up comedy since 1984. Liebman got her start in stand-up by enrolling in a class called “How to be a Stand-Up Comedian” at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. She began performing open-mic nights at Boston clubs including Stitches, The Comedy Connection and Catch a Rising Star and for the next six years performed throughout all of New England. Liebman has been a regular on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and has appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” She has also been seen on “The Daily Show,” HBO’s “Women of the Night,” “Comic Strip Live,” “VH1 Stand-Up Spotlight” and MTV’s “Half Hour Comedy Hour.”
Don Barnhart: Award-winning comedian Don Barnhart is one of the top comedians working today. Barnhart has appeared on TV and in films as well as headlining the top comedy clubs in Las Vegas. He is also a favorite at the top comedy clubs across the country and cruise ships around the world. In 2010, Don Barnhart received the International Performing Artist’s “Bob Hope Award” for his continued service performing and producing comedy shows for the troops stationed overseas. Barnhart has been performing and producing comedy shows for the troops since his first USO tour back in 1992.
Jann Karam: Jann Karam is a comedian, actor and writer whose numerous T.V. credits include stand-up appearances on “Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Tonight Show” and HBO’s “Young Comedians Show.” In addition to playing one of Jerry’s girlfriend’s on “Seinfeld,” Karam has guest-starred on “Norm,” “Mad About You,” “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher,” “Dr. Katz” and more.
Shows are at 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
