Respect is a thing of the past; there is no respect whatsoever for anyone any more. We have a president who thinks that because he has a cell phone and a pen, he is above the law — and he’s apparently infatuated with airplanes; if he could land in the bathroom he would fly there and when the people disagree with him, instead of showing a little humility, he would go play golf.
Republicans and Democrats alike treat the voters and the nation as a whole as second class citizens, walking around as if they are God’s gift to the world and we should consider ourselves lucky that they even talk to us,and bless them because they lower themselves to look at us.
We have a Governor who ignores the law and the Constitution of the nation, opening the door for illegal people to be able to vote as if they were legal.
Another Governor lies to the citizens of the state he is supposed to protect and defend by making campaign promises that later, after taking office, ignores any promises made to the state in general.
We have self-proclaimed leaders of the community with shifty pasts and dubious reputations running campaigns for candidates that are less than honest with the voters, but it helps to keep their names looking important.
We have a presidential candidate that is a registered socialist, another candidate has one foot in the voting polls and the other in the front door of a Federal Penitentiary; there is also the one that after two tries for the job took the co-pilot position and now is playing games to see if it is his time or not, without spending one single dollar in the effort.
We have candidates who are elected to office and before an amount of time in which they could even have a baby, they decide to run for higher office — just a few months after being elected for the first time.
But not everything is about the politicians; we already know how arrogant and inept they are, so let’s go for a minute to the government entities and government offices that are supposed to serve the citizens that PAY THEIR SALARIES.
Take for example the Public Utility Commission; does anyone know that the office that is in Las Vegas has no live person managing the office because everyone is in Carson City, giving the impression that the position of manager for these offices is political payback and it so happens that the recipient of that payback is a resident of Carson City and she does not want to inconvenience herself by traveling back and forth to her job.
Utility companies no longer exist in Las Vegas; it seems like they are not interested in servicing the Las Vegas costumers, they have offices in North Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder City and maybe soon there will be an office in Summerlin, but not in Las Vegas because it seems like the residents of Las Vegas mean nothing to the Utility companies.
We have billions of taxpayers’ dollars invested in a private company subsidiary by government influentially-connected people that are above all of us in the Silver State.
The train to nowhere will be like the monorail that was going to cost nothing to the people of Nevada, but of course, Nevada had to bail the politically-connected owner out from a losing investment.
The sad part of it is that all of us big mouths, the “anti-police,” and the “anti-government” that know nothing but how to complain, are not complaining enough and are demanding nothing.
Nevada Power AKA Nevada Energy executives are isolated in a monster building where the costumer service used to be housed and now sits empty to accommodate the privacy of their triple-paid officials. Take for example the office of the company Vice President and Latino token, Tony Sanchez: his telephone has a recording that proudly says that he
does not take outside calls.
It is our understanding that Sanchez is supposed to be the Spanish surname that represents the Latinos in the Nevada Power, but most likely the only Latino surnames that have access to him is Governor Sandoval and the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Otto Merida, it is important to note that neither the Latino token Sanchez or the Latino votes collector Sandoval speak one word of Spanish.
All this makes one wonder how much more disrespect the people of Nevada and the nation are going to have to take, and how far down they are taking our country.
