Very unfortunately the Marriott Company doesn’t train their employees to accommodate handicapped clients. In a very recent visit at 7700 Miami Lake Dr., a paralegedic lady with great need to use a steel board to get in and out of bed requested that the mattress be lower down and the personnel of the motel refused to accommodate the lady, when it was clear that she needed such assistance.
In a very few words, she was asked to move on to another place. Shedid go to a La Quinta Inn, at 7925 N. W. 154th St. in Miami Lakes.
This lady there encountered a young lady by the name of Dailenis. Dailenis went completely out of her way to accommodate this lady.
Shame, Shame, shame on Marriott Hotels for such lack of training — and caring — on the part of their employees regarding handicapped guests, and my highest admiration for the employees at the La Quinta Inn.
