The King of Singing Impressions, Bob Anderson chose “Frank The Man The Music” to re-introduce himself to Las Vegas at the Venetian Resort. After starring in shows in Branson, Missouri for more than 12 years, Bob finally returned to Las Vegas.
Tonight Bob Anderson became Frank Sinatra in all his glory. He mastered the subtle gestures, the mannerisms and his voice, a replica of Frank Sinatra.
This was a moment to savor. Bob sang “Come Fly with Me”, “One For My Baby” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin”, “The Lady is A Tramp” and other Sinatra favorites. Hearing the similarity in Bob’s golden voice, the audience felt they
were attending a Frank Sinatra concert.
One of the many highlights of the evening, Bob sang “My Way” with sincere reverence to Frank Sinatra.
Everything was perfect. Matching the “look” with the music and songs, Oscar nominated make-up artist Kazu Tsuji spent three hours preparing Bob to resemble Frank Sinatra. Kazu aged Brad Pitt for his role in the Curious Case of Benjamin Button film.
Bob Anderson’s portrayal felt as though Frank was actually standing there singing.
Bob’s triumphal return places him as Las Vegas’ newest star.
Backed by Vincent Falcone, Frank Sinatra’s former musical director and pianist for 10 years. Even the 32-piece orchestra included some of his original musicians.
I reviewed Bob Anderson’s opening night for his Las Vegas debut at the Top of the Dunes Lounge in 1985. Bob became known as the first singing impressionist and soared to success.
Bob Anderson appeared on my “Las Vegas Today” show at the Ellis Island Casino in 2001 and sang for the live audience. His announcement about moving to Branson, Missouri surprised everyone.
After more than 12 years, Bob’s fans happily welcomed his recent decision to return to Las Vegas.
Following Bob Anderson’s performance, invited guests drove to the Italian American Club for a party. Along with entertainment, the buffet was filled with giant meatballs and other Italian delicacies.
Where can the public see Bob Anderson in Frank The Man The Music? This wonderful evening became Bob Anderson’s showcase to promote his Frank The Man The Music show to hotel owners. Watch for announcements in the newspapers to see where he will appear.
