The new “Black Diamond” web series’ is original.
Portraying four different characters (the coat checker, chartreuse, vixen and cocktail server), Sarah Tracey acted with finesse and became each of the women.
Sarah changed wigs as well as her attitude and appearance. It took a skilled makeup artist to provide the right looks for each character.
Just like the early radio and television programs, a detective told the drama. Tony Costa acted as the classic tough detective, still carrying a torch.
Their unique editing-style used one and two second cuts for each scene adding to the suspense.
Sarah Tracey composed 12 songs that set the mood and matched the drama of her nightclub and murder scenes.
Each of the short weekly episodes told a fraction of the story and offered clues to the murder.
The “Black Diamond” is the most professional of all the web series I have seen.
The “Black Diamond” web series premiered July 22 and will run weekly episodes at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, until August 28.
You have a choice to watch the “Black Diamond” series finale on the web or at a nightclub. If you are in New York City, see Sara Tracey and her Jet Set Quartet in the finale, 7 p.m., August 28, at Joe’s Pub, in the Public Theater, 425 Lafayette Street, east village.
This is a clever way to promote the web series and Sarah Tracey as a singer and songwriter at the same time.
Sarah Tracey and the Jet Set Quartet have appeared at New York cities’ the Box, Sleep No More’s McKittrick Hotel, The Darby, Joe’s Pub, The Jazz Room at The General, and The Flatiron Room. , Te 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, and t
For Sarah’s debut album, Tell No One, she wears stiletto boots and looks like a female 007 spy. We think of James Bond style fantasies.
