I was surprised about Kuala Lumpur’s unique hotels! Designed to provide a complete new experience, the Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Conference Center is modeled after New York’s Times Square with names like Big Apple Restaurant, Broadway Lounge, Manhattan Ballroom, Central Park, etc.
Berjaya has a shopping complex which features 14 thrill rides in Cosmo’s World, Asia’s largest indoor theme park, a supermarket, 900 shopping outlets, 2-and-3D movie experience at IMAX theatres, nine cineplexes, 56- lane bowling alley, plus 65 food and beverage outlets. Shopping, dining and entertainment all under one roof! You can even take the elevator up to catch the monorail.
There is such a selection in the Big Apple Restaurant, changing their buffet to keep guests interested. Buffets range from Indian, Thai, International, pizza, and Hi-Tea. During their complimentary all-you-can-eat breakfast, I could choose either Western, Asian, Malaysian, or vegetarian dishes. Each section had corresponding decorations. It is fun to try food from other countries.
I also had a fantastic dinner buffet. We looked at the featured lobsters, steaks, and salmon then told the chef our choice. After watching him cook our selection to our preference, we could fill our plates with the other goodies around the buffet. What a meal!
Next I attended the show in the Broadway Lounge, the perfect touch to the evening. Berjaya is the only all suites hotel in Kuala Lumpur. With so much room, this makes guests
even more comfortable. Each suite has city views including a living room, bedroom, mini pantry, and bathroom. Their 610 luxuriously appointed suites range from the Studio Suite (51 square meters) to the two-bedroom Brooklyn Suite (99.4 square meters). They bring a new meaning to the term ‘city living’.
Taking into consideration the needs of business travellers, Berjaya Times Square Hotel & Convention Center has Internet access and in-room safe that is able to accommodate laptops in selected rooms. And best of all, the exchange rate is so teriffic, staying at this beautiful 5 star hotel is reasonable!!!
The Wedding Planner can show you how to make your night something you will cherish forever. Let them spoil you! They arrange traditional Chinese, Malayan, Indian and Western weddings. You may wish to wear gowns from some of these weddings while using a Western setting. They say it is the journey not the destination that you must enjoy. There is a food tasting session to assist you in deciding the menu. You can even ask them to suggest places for your honeymoon.
Successful business meetings and conferences start at Berjaya when a venue makes all of the difference! They have 10 meeting rooms and ballroom with a capacity for 2,000 people.
AV equipment and video conferencing facilities are available.
The General Manager, Mr. Go Paul describes his country, “We welcome Americans. Malaysia is the land of opportunity. The Indians, Chinese, and Malaysians live together in peace and harmony.”
The Berjaya defines the art of city living with the roof top park which holds 380 persons, a beautiful 740 square-meter swimming pool surrounded by a sculptured tropical garden, a state-of-the art gymnasium, squash and basketball courts. The Berjaya group have seven resorts.
