Moraga’s first vintage was created in 1989 and they are now celebrating their 30th anniversary! When you taste the Moraga Bel Air Wines you’ll know the difference because Moraga’s remarkably refined wines have a superior taste and smoothness.
The Moraga winemakers define their red wines as being, “noted for their complex blend of dark red berry, plum flavors, tobacco notes, and sweet herbal characteristics.”
I feel this excellent fusion of contrasting flavors with a touch of sweetness is so uplifting as each of these flavors surprise my taste buds and are exciting with every sip. Wine blends are richer, tastier, and bring more to the wine.
Moraga Winemakers describe their white wines as, “wine distinguished by remarkable floral notes that resemble honeysuckle with flavors that lean toward stone fruits such as apricot and peach.”
Moraga’s lighter, refreshing white wines reflect their dedication to presenting a definite signature taste with confidence in the quality of the wines.
I usually have to travel to the country or mountains to visit wineries but as they are named Moraga Bel Air Wines, it is surprising to find the winery and vineyard nestled in the city of Bel Air, California, within the upscale neighborhoods of Beverly Hills and Bel Air in Los Angeles.
Scott Rich, Moraga Bel Air’s Winemaker, has overseen all wine making as well as the vineyard since 1996 and understands their unique location, the soils, and other factors for the success of their crops. His previous studies, extensive research and various other jobs involved in the wine industry, makes Scott Rich the perfect man
Fine wine brings joy to a meal and creates a real celebration for birthdays, weddings or other events. www.moragabelair.com
